Tatiana and Ronald’s Colonial Park Engagement Session was all sorts of perfect from the blooming rose garden to their adorable pups, & ! Look at those mushy faces!!! They were SO excited for their modeling gig; we had to bribe them with snacks to keep there attention on the camera, but hey, they’re pretty cute so we will cut them some slack for looking all over the place. :) Tati and Ronald were up for anything, and kept me laughing the entire shoot! We found the cutest little cottage house that I just couldn’t get enough of before we headed over into the rose garden. It was such a beautiful pathway full of different kinds of roses all labeled with unique names (one kind was named Dolly Partons, haha!) These high school sweethearts met during the last few days of Tati’s sophomore year and Ronald’s freshman year. They lived in different towns, so they had never met before until the day that Tati was at her locker with a friend and noticed him walking by. She thought he was very good looking, so she asked her friend what she knew about him and that was it. She, unexpectedly, got a friend request from him on Facebook (She later ended up finding out he had been asking his friends who she was, too)! They became friends, and although school ended in June, they just kept on messaging on Facebook. They ended up dating for a whole 3 weeks when school started back in Semptember, but they broke up soon after. Life happened for nine months and there was no communication between them until out of the blue, they ended up attending the same church! From there, their love story officially began. They have been together for almost 6 years now, and Tati says, “We have grown up together from immature 15 year olds to adults. There have been highs and lows, like any relationship, but thankfully, we have been able to fight through.”   When I asked about how Ronald proposed, Tati told me, “So Ronald proposed on August 12th 2017. It was a complete surprise for me. On that day, I was told by my parents that we had a family dinner to go to, which they had to beg me to go to. I got ready even though all I wanted to do was stay at home and watch movies. On our way to the “family dinner,” my dad stopped at my pastor’s house. We went inside and to the backyard where all my friends and family were. There was a big screen with petals all on the grass. When I entered the backyard, I knew what was happening. A video started playing and it was Ronald speaking about our relationship. In the video, he had most of the gifts I had given him for our anniversary’s. When the video ended he asked me to marry him and I said YES, of course!” How adorable and romantic to be surrounded by all of their loved ones for such a special moment!!
