couple walking dog in parkTheir Session: Rosedale Park, Pennington, NJ

I cannot even explain how exciting it was to be back photographing my first session since the COVID crisis began! I honestly felt like I was on fire and so in my element the whole time – my energy and excitement were soaring despite having to shoot in a mask and stand from a distance! It was definitely HARD, but so worth it to be safe and be able to capture all this lovey! Can we just talk about how gorgeously boho and stunning Julie’s Anthropologie dress and hat are, too?! I absolutely love it when my couples choose flowy fabrics since they catch so well in the wind and all the movement! Give me alllll the boho vibes – I just loved this look and how beautifully the burnt orange paired with Bryan’s navy blue! They nailed the outfit game!

Rosedale Park is so personal to Julie and Bryan (which I LOVE!) because it’s where they take their pup, Kirk, on daily walks! It’s right across the street from where they live, so it was super convenient and meaningful to shoot there! I really love when couples choose a session location that is meaningful to them because it makes their images feel so authentic and real. Plus it typically makes the couple more comfortable to let loose and have fun since they’re familiar with the location! It’s such a win-win!

Julie and Bryan were so up for all of my crazy ideas, from running and skipping to jumping all over each other and it was all just SO freaking cute! I’m always so thankful for my couples who completely put their trust in me and my process so that we can create this kind of MAGIC!

Their Love Story

Julie and Bryan met on the dating app Bumble and went on their first date on Saint Patrick’s Day! Bryan says, “Julie continues to make fun of me because I watched basketball during our first date, but in my defense, it was March Madness!” They’re too funny together, and I’m sure that first date was such a blast!

Bryan proposed to Julie at an overlook in Hopewell! Afterward, he surprised her with a party at his parents’ house with all of their closest friends, family, and OF COURSE their pup Kirk! Bryan’s favorite part about being engaged is knowing that he “will be with my best friend for the rest of [his] life”. While Julie is excited that she has “met the person who [she] can build the rest of [her] life with.” Gosh, these two are such cuties!!

Julie & Bryan,

I am so beyond excited that I got to have my first session back with you two!! Thank you for making all my boho session dreams come true! It was so awesome running around Rosedale Park with you and it made me super happy seeing you both embracing the moment and having so much fun! I literally CANNOT wait for your wedding at The Boathouse at Mercer Lake this fall! xo Also, meeting Kirk was the highlight of my life!
