Their Session: Private Residence & Backyard Garden, Collingswood, NJ

Oh my goodness, Chelsea and Dan’s backyard garden maternity session was a summer dream! These two love birds included aspects of their lives that are so special to them – the home they’ve created together, their lush backyard garden, and their furbabies! It was so meaningful getting to capture this exciting milestone in their love story!

I love the comfort and sweetness of a maternity session, especially at home! They’re well-experienced in front of the camera after engagement session and wedding day, and just so excited for the adventure ahead! These two truly were laughing from the beginning to the end of their shoot – you could see their connection and love so clearly!

One of their kitties and their two doggos LOVED being a part of the shoot (mainly for the treats!) and they were such pros at modeling! They were loving running around the backyard and hopping in and out of photos as they pleased!

Although the photos are obviously the BEST part of this session, the second best was Chelsea and Dan sending me home with a huge bag full of fresh tomatoes and basil from their garden!

Their Love Story

Chelsea and Dan met in 2014 in California when Dan was out there doing his PhD in Psychology and Chelsea was in veterinary school! This adventurous duo moved to Austin, Texas in 2017 just for fun! She worked there as an emergency veterinarian and Dan taught at a couple of the local colleges.

Austin became even more special to them as it’s where they engaged on May 17th, 2018. Exactly a year later, they eloped at the courthouse with their dogs and close friends! In late 2019, they celebrated with a big wedding in Austin! It was so cute seeing all their beautiful photos around their home!

In 2019, they moved to south Jersey (into their adorable home) where Daniel now teaches at a local university and Chelsea is an emergency veterinarian in Philadelphia!
