Their Session: Sandy Hook Beach, NJ

Nicole and Ryan were such sweethearts from the moment we met! I absolutely love getting to work with couples, whether I am photographing their wedding or not, so I was super excited when these two reached out looking for me to capture their love in a fun engagement session! They wanted some beautiful beachy scenery for their session, and I knew that the sunset over the bay in Sandy Hook is always this amazing pastel, magical dream, so I suggested we meet there and they LOVED it! Everything just felt so soft and slow-paced on the beach, which made their session so peaceful. It allowed Nicole and Ryan to get super playful at times and then really sweet and intimate at others! 

During the time that we were planning their session, Nicole and Ryan actually decided to get married! So their engagement shoot ended up being an adorable post-wedding, MARRIED-AS-HECK, sesh! I loved this so much because they were just super invested in being present with each other and in love!! Such a great celebration of their story!

Their Love Story

Ryan met Nicole while she was visiting the United States from Ecuador! They hit it off very quickly during their first ice cream date and it wasn’t long until Ryan was purchasing a plane ticket to visit Nicole back home in Ecuador! He stayed with her for a little over a month, and during that time, Nicole got to show Ryan her country; staying in almost every region; the coast, Andes Mountains, and the Amazon!

Ryan proposed to Nicole while they were on vacation on the islands of Turks and Caicos! They were staying at a beautiful beach resort, but Ryan decided to rent a car and convinced Nicole to drive around the island in search of some nature preserves with beaches. After having a sweet and private picnic on the beach, Ryan asked Nicole to take a walk with him along the shoreline. A few minutes into their walk, Ryan got down on one knee, pulled out a ring, and asked Nicole to marry him in perfect Spanish! So sweet and impressive!
