Their Session: Congress Hall – Cape May, NJ

This was my first time ever heading down to Cape May Congress Hall and the beaches down in South Jersey! It was such a peaceful and adorable area to explore with Brittany and Ken! They made a little overnight trip out of their session and took this as a chance for a staycation! I love that they found some adorable spots while exploring on their own from the downtown to the lighthouse views on the beach! I had so much fun learning more about their relationship, their families, and wedding plans! It was surprisingly chilly and overcast, but they totally embraced it and the sun peeked out for sunset!

Their Love Story

Ken and Brittany met through Brittany’s best friend! She worked with Ken at Citizen’s Bank Park and gave him Brittany’s number when she found out he was single. They hit it off right away, but the date didn’t end so well since Brittany felt sick from the soup! 🤣 They had a few good laughs before the soup kicked in, and they’ve continued to laugh with each other every day since! They dated for two years and now live together in their home!

When I asked about the proposal, Brittany told me, “Well, the proposal was postponed! I had a feeling it was going to happen around November of 2019, but had a conversation with Ken because my sister was getting married on November 30th and wanted her to have her moment. I was right! Thankfully, I was still surprised on December 20th. We were in our Family Room and Ken gave me a book of us. We usually make one every year, so it wasn’t out of the ordinary for me. He said he’ll be right back and told me to slow down reading the book. I knew something was up 😏. Then Charlotte, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and center of our world, came over with a pillow on her back. As she came closer, and I turned to the last page of the book, and I saw something shiny 😁. Ken got down on one knee and said something beautiful, I don’t remember what, but I remember tearing and saying yes.” How special that he asked her in their home with their pup?!
