Their Session: Allaire State Park, Wall Township, NJ

Spending the day with Jenny and Richie literally felt like I was hanging with old friends! We clicked right off the bat because these two were just so fun and chill. I loved how relaxed they were and they were totally up for adventuring around Allaire State Park with me to capture all of the fall gorgeousness! Since Halloween was only a few days away, we had quite the time avoiding all of the Halloween decorations set up at Allaire, but dodging all the caution tape and spooky statues ended up giving us a real good laugh.

I loved getting to know more about Jenny and Richie, like how Richie’s big Italian family can get a little wild when they’re together, but in the BEST way, and how Jenny had worked as a photographer for a bit! So cool! Paying homage to their fave hockey team, Jenny and Richie came equipped with fun Rangers jerseys and hats for an outfit change! It was such a perfect way to show their love for their team, while also showing off their wedding date on custom hockey pucks!

Their Love Story

Jenny and Richie met while on vacation in the Poconos Mountains during Columbus Day of 2009! They were only 14 and 15 at the time, but when Jenny spotted Richie she instantly thought he was so cute! She was too nervous to go talk to him though, until the family friend who she was on vacation with grabbed Jenny by the arm and forced her to introduce herself to Richie! As it turned out, Richie had been eyeing Jenny the entire time, too! Jenny went on to tell me, “A lot of people don’t believe in love at first sight, or even young love, but I truly believe we had both” and I couldn’t agree with her more! They still look at each other the same way! <3

Of all the times and places that Jenny expected Richie to propose, she never thought that it would happen just how it did. In 2015, Richie’s father sadly passed away. As a celebration of his life, Richie’s family hosted a dinner in Little Italy. Throughout the dinner, speeches were made remembering his father and all of the amazing memories everyone had. When it came time for Richie to give his speech, he also snuck is his proposal to Jenny! It was truly the last thing she expected in that moment and she says she wouldn’t have wanted it to happen any other way! <3

Jenny and Richie wanted to have their wedding on the same day that they met back in 2009 in the Poconos! So, it was an easy decision to have their wedding on their 11th anniversary of meeting each other! Who doesn’t love a double anniversary?!

You’re so amazing, and I can’t wait to be the one to document your beautiful wedding at The Conservatory at Sussex County next October! WOOT WOOT! <3 Love you bunches!
