Their Wedding Day: Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm, Jobstown, NJ

Maloree and Eric’s stunning September wedding day was the perfection celebration of their love story and fun, wild, unique personalities. I loved seeing all of the special ways these two incorporated who they are into their big day. Maloree’s DIY talents were able to shine (she’s a Cricut master!), she got Eric the cutest socks with her face on them, they had someone bring their pups for a few photos after the ceremony, they celebrated Eric’s birthday AND their marriage all in one (aka – yep, their wedding day was on his birthday!), and their table numbers were all the years they’ve known one another with pictures to go along with it to name a few! They wasted no time getting down on the dance floor from playing limbo with one of the bridesmaid’s crutches to getting everyone involved in The Git Up. It was such a special day from the first minute I arrived, and I know it was just the start to their lifelong love story full of fun and adventure!

Their Love Story

If you haven’t heard me share about it yet, here’s how these two met back as lil kiddos. Maloree told me, “Eric and I have been together for 7+ years in March! We actually went all through school together from 1st grade, but I hated him lol. In first grade, he dumped my water bottle out at recess and I told on him and when the teacher told him to fill it back up, he filled it with toilet water!!! lol I held that grudge for a while… until senior year when he stole my heart. We have been together ever since, have two pups and a home together!” When she first told me that they met from that water bottle incident, I immediately knew these were my people! They were both SO much fun throughout this entire process and just such a joy to get to know as friends.

Eric had the proposal planned out really well! He got both of Maloree’s parents’ blessings, had her mom make an appointment to take her to get her nails done, and he planned on proposing in Ocean City, Maryland on their annual friends trip in September on the beach! It was supposed to be in front of all of their friends, and he even had a photographer lined up! Two weeks before this was all supposed to go down, Maloree accidentally found a ring in the glove box of his car!! So, the actual proposal ended up being in the parking lot of a Wendy’s!

We had the most exciting engagement session at their home that included good friends, the cutest fur babies, strong drinks, a bit of rain, and a surprise proposal! 🙂 I’d say it’s a pretty good one to go check out!

When I asked these two their fave things about one another, Mal said, “How driven he is. How caring and compassionate, sweet… ok I could seriously just go on and on,” and Eric adores “how confident mal is” and his example was that she just gets out on the dance floor and doesn’t care about anything else! 🙂

To Maloree & Eric,
