Their Session: Sayen House & Gardens

Nadia and Carmen were the most giggly and playful couple ever!! They were so comfortable in front of the camera and nailed anything and EVERYTHING I asked them to do, especially when it was just looking at each other! They have such a genuine connection and you could clearly see how much they light up when they see each other! Their session was on the perfect summer day that made exploring Sayen House & Gardens so much fun! The park is full of beautiful flowers and ponds, so there were so many amazing spots to use as backdrops for their engagement photos!

Their Love Story

Nadia and Carmen went to the same school and grew up right around the corner from each other, but it wasn’t until Nadia was a senior in high school, that she reached out to Carmen, who is a few years older than her, on Facebook! Eventually, they met up one day to run some errands together and just hang out. About a week later, Carmen asked Nadia out on a date to see a movie and visit a lake afterward! 

One day Carmen told Nadia that he had planned a scavenger hunt for her to complete that had to do with all of their “firsts.” She worked her way through the list, crossing off things like their first kiss and their first date, until she finally got to number 9. The task was to go to the beach and pick up shells, so she headed to the beach and found Carmen standing there, saying he needed to ask her something! I think you can guess what happened next! What an absolutely perfect way to tie in so many personal moments to a proposal – go, Carmen!! 🙂
