Their Session: South Mountain Reservation

Uhm OKAY! These two were such a freaking BLAST to photograph and hang out with at South Mountain Reservation! Sarah and Chris were so sweet, silly, and relaxed, which made their session so EASY and fun! I loved getting to explore one of my fave New Jersey waterfalls with them and show them around all the gorgeous nature! I have to shout out these two for being vegan like me, because I always get SO excited about booking new vegan couples! Funny enough, one of my other vegan couples chose South Mountain Reservation for their engagement session, too! Sarah and Chris were such sweethearts and brought me some AMAZING vegan cake pops and artichoke plates as a little gift, which totally made my whole day! We connected over their love of plants, and I learned so much from them after only a few hours together! It was seriously such a blast, a gorgeous day with the perfect sunset, and truly an experience to remember!

Truly, from the moment we met the first time for coffee, I knew these two were something special. The way they interact with each other is so natural, and you can just tell how much they adore one another from the way they look at each other! We connected over so many fun topics like our love for DIYing and Etsy, vegan restaurants, and wanting to find fun and unique ways to make their wedding day unique to them! It was so nice getting to reconnect at their session and hang out again!!

Their Love Story

Sarah and Chris first met on a dating app! Sarah says that Chris sent the first message to her, but she wasn’t sure if she was ready to go on a date yet because she was feeling too busy to date anyone at the time. She’s so happy that her friends had convinced her to go on the date though, because she said, “as soon as I saw him, I knew I wanted to spend more time with him.”

Their proposal story is just so dang precious and down-to-earth! Sarah told me that it happened on a random day this past January! She was just lounging in bed playing a video game when “Chris gathered our 3 cats around and got down on one knee to ask me. He actually didn’t ask me, really (he sobbed the entire time!) but I knew what he was doing and it was beautiful.” And can we just admire Sarah’s gorgeous celestial ring?! It’s so unique and gorgeous!!

I can’t even tell you how much of a blast I had hanging out with you two, playing around in the waterfalls and just exploring the beautiful scenery around us! You both are so incredibly kind and I can’t thank you enough for those AMAZING vegan cake pops! I am so dang excited for your boho-inspired wedding at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, it’s going to be so epic!
