Their Session: Sayen House & Gardens, Hamilton, NJ

This flowery spring Sayen House & Gardens maternity session was the perfect way to celebrate an exciting new adventure for Abby and Thomas – their baby on the way! After years of knowing Abby through social media, it was so surreal getting to actually meet in person and photograph their beautiful connection! This lovely lady has been an endless supporter and encourager of my business, so it felt really full circle to have them in front of my camera!

Sayen House and Gardens gave us incredible backdrop galore as we ventured through the blooming greenery! If you’ve never roamed around this gem of a park in Central/South Jersey, it’s a must see especially in the springtime. We were lucky enough to have a quieter night at the gardens, so we hit all the gorgeous spots like the fish pond, fountain, weeping willow, and bridges!

You can truly see all the joy and excitement for their baby coming so soon! One of the most memorable and sweetest parts of the night was ending with a slow dance to “Here Comes the Sun” – a song that has helped get them through hard times along this journey to parenthood. I always love the little ways my couples make their sessions their own. Bringing in the slow dance tradition they’ve shared throughout this pregnancy helped to personalize the session and bring out all of the emotions!

Their Love Story

Reminiscing on their wedding brings about so many emotions as they were a Covid couple who got married in November of 2021! They were so fortunate to be surrounded by so many family and friends. They truly felt the love knowing their closest people all wanted to celebrate their love with them despite the crazy times!

Married life led them to the next phase of life – growing their family! The challenges and difficulties faced along this journey were some of the hardest times in life. Abby shared, “I’m grateful to have Thomas. As difficult as this journey was it always brought us even closer. He is my truly rock, and no one else I could have gone through this journey with. I’m looking forward to holding our miracle rainbow baby. I’m looking forward to seeing my life partner continue to grow with me as we become parents.” Knowing the way they support and love one another, their connection will only continue to grow stronger with a home full of joy, love, and kitty snuggles!
