Their Session: Wave Resort, Long Branch, NJ

Hands down, this intimate, steamy engagement session at Wave Resort made my whole summer complete! Hannah and Andrew are getting married at Wave Resort in Long Branch, New Jersey, so they decided to book a room for the weekend and make a staycation out of it! Wave Resort’s styling and overall vibe is just so much fun, and it was such a blast getting these cuties super cozy with each other there! They’re seriously such naturals, and this entire session truly felt just like hanging out with close friends! It was really special getting to chat with them about biz-dreams and life goals along with their wedding plans, of course!

We spent the second half of the session out by the ocean as the sun was setting! They were truly up for everything – even with other people around, it felt like they were the only ones alone on that beach. It was so special to see how in love, happy, and excited they were to just be together! They seriously lit up every time they would lock eyes! It’s so rewarding and fulfilling getting to capture love stories with such strong connections like Hannah and Andrew have!

Their Love Story

Hannah & Andrew met while at a Sixer’s basketball game – Andrew struck up a conversation with Hannah about the “throwback” Allen Iverson jersey she was wearing while they were in line. He asked her to get a drink with him during halftime and the rest is history! Hannah dove into the craziest part of the story which was that “a few months before that basketball game, Andrew found a wallet in an Uber. Using the ID inside, he reached out to the owner on Facebook, didn’t get a response for a couple of days so he just mailed it back to the address on the ID. A week or so later he received a response to his FB message thanking him for returning the wallet and offering him tickets to the opening day Sixers game. Apparently the wallet belonged to the fiancé of an NBA player. Those tickets she gave him were for the game where we met, so we like to say it was a lot of fate and also a little good karma!”

Andrew proposed to Hannah in their apartment, which he had totally decked out with photos, candles, and flowers while she was out with her best friends for happy hour! He outdid himself with the thoughtful details around the apartment and also managed to film the entire proposal with hidden cameras from the moment she walked in the door to him down on one knee! The video is SO beautiful, and I remember opening Hannah’s email with the link while in line at Target. I didn’t expect to be crying SO hard while checking out or else I would have waited to come home before watching! After popping the question, Andrew and Hannah went down to the lobby of their building where about 50 friends and family were waiting to have a little celebration in honor of them! It was so incredibly sweet!
