Their Wedding: Indian Trail Club Franklin Lakes, NJ

Ahhh, this mid-September Indian Trail Club wedding in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey was one for the books! I got to assist this gorgeous sunny wedding day for my bestie, Jennifer Larsen Photography, which is always the best! Getting to do what we love with our friends just can’t be beat!

Nicole and Mark not only had a gorgeous aesthetic with dusty blues, pinks, and pops of color in their decor, but they also had the BEST energy all day long! Their wedding party was so much fun and kept these two laughing from the beginning of the day until the dance floor got wild. Their sweet first look was the perfect way to kick off their stunning portraits on this lakeside property! When you have a venue THIS gorgeous, you have to take advantage of alllll the spots. The lake views only got better as we ventured down to the docks later for sunset photos before cocktail hour began! I love how stress-free and laidback this day was with all the time alloted for portraits, wedding party photos, family photos, and time to just relax and enjoy!

Their live band made for a super fun reception experience – they had guests up and dancing within minutes after cocktail hour! I love that they kept the energy so high as Mark and Nicole danced their way into the party. These two had the CUTEST desserts – custom wedding day cookies that included their dog’s faces, their wedding monogram, and the Philly LOVE symbol! They were beautiful and almosttt too cute to eat. We rounded out the night with some fun night photos in the lounge with their neon sign before we had to say our goodbyes!

Their Love Story

These two met during sophomore year of college through mutual friends! They started dating as seniors and have been together ever since. They made it through long distance from Philly to NY and have now landed in Philadelphia together!

Mark surprised Nicole with a perfect proposal! She sent him photos of rings for months juuust to make sure he had an idea of what she would want! 🙂 They moved in together in September of 2019 and she wasn’t expecting a proposal for at least another year! However, on their vacation to Montauk that took the place of a usual big summer vacation due to COVID, Mark popped the question on their little balcony! She always wanted a private moment together and then to celebrate with everyone, so they got to enjoy the trip together celebrating and enjoying the pure bliss of their engagement!!
