Their Session: Bluehill Overlook, Acadia National Park, Maine

Ahhh, this little mini session was so unexpected but makes my heart feel so full! Jordan of Jordan Jeanty Studios and his girlfriend, Kiersti, flew all the way to Maine from Texas for our mutual couple’s elopement! We had an adventure session planned with them the evening before their elopement, and as Jordan and I were setting up our gear, we squeezed in this mini session! It was such an amazing experience getting to shoot alongside Jordan and Kiersti at this insanely beautiful location! I’m so excited that we got to capture these two in such an awesome spot!

Their Love Story

Kiersti and Jordan met while at a personal development seminar in Maui, Hawaii back in 2016. They were both representatives for a travel club which was their common denominator. The seminar lasted about 6/7 days and all 150 or so attendees spent the majority of their days in a conference room. For whatever reason, they never crossed paths until the final evening, which was a luau party. Jordan said, “I like to think of myself as a pretty social person, so I saw her standing alone and figured I should approach her and say hello! We had a brief conversation and ended up connecting on Facebook. Over the next year, we crossed paths a few times and realized that we both booked the same trip to Greece, which was hosted by our travel club. We both flew in with friends, but the trip ultimately became something like a “bae-cation.” Our trip to Greece in September of 2017 is where our relationship officially began!”
These two had been in a long-distance relationship from Seattle to NJ until they finally closed the gap in April 2020 and moved to Dallas (at the beginning of a pandemic)! Being in a long-distance relationship, travel has always been a huge part of their relationship – they both love to create experiences together. They also enjoy just hanging at home watching a good show or finding great food spots on Yelp!
When I asked Jordan about one of their favorite adventures they’ve been on together, he said, “One of my favorite adventures that we’ve been on together was going on a hike to Snow Lake in Washington for my birthday last year! Hiking was never a hobby of mine while growing up in the NYC area. I don’t think I had ever gone on a hike before my 20th birthday. I had been visiting Kiersti in Washington around this time last year & she introduced me to the beauty of the PNW with our hike. I think it took us about 4 hours round trip to complete the adventure, but the views were so worth it!”
Jordan loves Kiersti’s adventurous spirit – he can always count on her to be willing to travel with him somewhere, experience a new restaurant, or be pumped to just take in a sunrise/sunset with him. He said, “I also can’t fail to mention that I admire how deeply she loves and how intentionally she listens. Getting to do life with her is a blessing.” How sweet are they?!

Kiersti and Jordan,

Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to connect and be in love in this beautiful national park! It was such a joy getting to photograph you two even if just for a few minutes! 🙂 It was a pleasure working alongside you two, and I hope we get to work together many more times in the future!!
