So so obsessed with this fall Boathouse at Mercer Lake wedding! Julie and Bryan had to reschedule because of the pandemic, so this was another extra special celebration as family and friends could finally come together. Julie has an amazing boho style – their home is perfectly curated!! – and she totally brought that vibe into their wedding day! Incredible fall tones surrounded the entire day from the bridesmaids’ velvet dresses (such an eyecatcher!) to the unique table fans made of dried florals and palms. Every little detail was just so beautiful and thoughtfully designed to fit their vision. There was so much love in the room for these two, and it could certainly be felt on the dance floor!
One of my favorite moments was intros and first dances! Julie and Bryan brought the ENERGY when they ran out onto the dance floor and then immediately had everyone in tears during their emotional first dance sung live by a close friend on acoustic guitar! Then, Julie danced with her dad and Bryan danced with his mom before opening up the dance floor to party all night long. I just remember alllll the smiles, laughter, and tears during those moments!
Julie and Bryan’s son, Aiden, was born just a few months ago. We recently did a family session to celebrate his arrival, and it made seeing this little family on such a special day that much sweeter!
After meeting online, Julie and Bryan’s first date was “happy hour” and happened to land on St. Patrick’s Day. As a sports lover, Bryan remembers Julie making fun of him because he was so focused on basketball during their date! He said, “but in my defense, it was March Madness!” But that didn’t stop the connection between these two… Bryan couldn’t stop thinking about Julie’s blue eyes, and Julie really wanted to get to know Bryan better. They both were very much looking forward to a second date!
Bryan wanted to surprise Julie for the proposal! His plan was simply having her believe they were just going out for his birthday dinner. But once they were out, he proposed at an overlook in Hopewell. <3 The biggest surprise was taking her back to his parents’ house, where all their close family and friends (and their pup, Kirk!!) were there to celebrate! Don’t miss their adorable spring boho engagement session!
I’m so grateful to have been on this journey with you!!! Seeing your family grow during this time was the cherry on top! Your wedding day was nothing short of amazing. I’ll never get over those details!! Thank you for trusting me to capture these milestones. I wish your sweet little family the very best!!!! xoxo
