It is such a dream getting to work with couples at all stages of their love story from dating to fiancés to wedding days and far beyond the big day! Brittney and Pete decided to celebrate their first anniversary with an adorable in-home session in their new home! They decorated every inch of their home and it felt like Christmas heaven with all of the gorgeous lights and cozy pillows and blankets. They let their sweet furbabies join the sesh, which made me SO happy. Hani, their pup, was such a model and Mama, their kitty, has the prettiest big eyes! Britt and Pete popped a bowl of popcorn and tried to catch pieces in their mouths, and once Hani caught onto how the game worked, she snuck behind Pete to catch the ones he missed! She was good at cleaning up the mess. 😉 We headed down the road into New Hope, PA and took some adorable photos outside around all of the unique colonial buildings! So jealous that they get to live just a few minutes from such a great little town full of so much character and fun things to
These two first met at a New Years Eve party at Britt’s friend’s house. While she was away at college, Pete’s family moved to her town, so he had become friends with some of her friends, but they hadn’t crossed paths yet! After finally meeting, Britt sarcastically said to Pete, “apparently you’re my perfect guy,” because that’s what her friend had told her as she was trying to introduce them! They talked for a few minutes and he sent her a friend request on Facebook the next day but didn’t realize it was him because he had a different Facebook name at the time.
A couple months later, she went to a St Patrick’s Day parade with the same friend who introduced them, and Pete was there, too, with a few of their other friends! Pete had a different hair cut and shaved his face since they had last seen each other, so she didn’t even recognize him and forgot his name! When he started talking to her, she reintroduced herself, and he said, “yeah…I know you…we met already!” She said, “Once I got over that embarrassing moment, we ended up talking/hanging out all day at the parade and as the night went on he started saying the cutest things to me like how much he loves my smile and that I was beautiful, and, you know, all the nice respectful things a girl actually wants to hear from a guy lol. So, I honestly thought he was just too good to be true. So, naturally, I just made fun of him all night and was like “wow, you’re quite the sweet talker aren’t you?” I gave him my number anyway, because despite my suspicions…I really liked him and thought he was such a babe and so funny! Luckily, it turns out that he was just as sweet of a guy as he seemed, and we’ve been completely in love and inseparable ever since!!” I freaking melted when I read their story!! She sent me photos from their wedding day and their wedding video, and it was all sorts of perfection, just like them!
Britt and Pete, thank you both for being the SWEETEST, mushiest, cutest humans ever! I absolutely loved getting to know you both (and your furbabies) while we captured such special photos from this milestone in your lives! Congratulations on one year – here’s to many more years full of fun and adventure! Love you
