The Brand Session: DayDream Bridal – Ardmore, PA

Some brand sessions feel extra special from the start, and this DayDream Bridal brand session was exactly that for me! As a brand and wedding photographer, I’ve had the honor of working with Hannah, the owner of DayDream Bridal, for so many different milestones over the years!

Hannah and her husband, Andrew, were one of my incredible couples back in 2021, so I’ve captured their engagement session, wedding day, maternity session, family photos, and multiple brand sessions now! On top of all of that, I knew there was nowhere else I wanted to get my wedding dress from than DayDream, so I was able to experience being a DayDream bride firsthand!

Getting to step into their world always feels so full-circle for me. There was so much heart in this session, and it meant a lot to create images for a business that has played such a meaningful role in both my professional and personal life!

The Brand Session Planning

Like every brand session I work on, the session starts long before the camera comes out. Hannah filled out a detailed questionnaire that dug deep into who they are, what they value, and how they want their brides to feel when they walk through their doors. From there, I could pull out the vision and goals for this brand session, which was to position their dress boutique as a leader and trendsetter in the bridal industry while staying true to the warmth and authenticity they’re known for.

With allllll the information in the brand session questionnaire, I’m able to then create a detailed session guide that includes moodboards, keywords, outfit direction, scene ideas, prop suggestions, and a timeline. Every detail is intentional, from color palettes to props to how each scene supports their brand story. This kind of prep allows the actual shoot day to feel relaxed, fun, and creatively focused (instead of chaotic).

The Brand Session Vibes

DayDream Bridal is truly built on joy, expertise, girlhood, and bestie energy. Their team of 4 is full of such fun and supportive women, and that energy is woven into everything they do. Their space welcomes dreamers, romantics, and girl’s girls. It’s so clear that they want the store and the experience to be a place where brides feel seen, adored, and celebrated.

We built the shoot around three core scenes that reflect their brand:

  • Girls 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 Business: chic, all-black looks that show confidence, leadership, and expertise in the industry
  • At Work: casual, behind-the-scenes moments that highlight their seamless process and personal touch
  • Girlhood Vibes: slumber-party-style moments with snacks, drinks, and games that capture the heart of the DayDream experience

Each scene was crafted to tell a different part of their story and services. Together, they highlight the full picture of a high-end brand rooted in comfort, connection, and fun.

The Brand Session Purpose

This session is a perfect example of the power of brand photography. Strategic imagery doesn’t just make a business look good; it helps attract the right clients. When potential brides see DayDream’s photos, they immediately understand the vibe, the experience, and the level of care they can expect. It builds trust before a single inquiry is sent.

Brand photography becomes a visual extension of a business’s purpose. It communicates who they are, what they stand for, and why their experience is unlike any other. And when organized intentionally, it turns dream clients into paying clients!
