Their session: Allaire State Park, NJ

Talk about a perfect fall location for Lauren and Connor! Suuuuch amazing foliage mixed with a historic vibe at this Allaire State Park engagement session! I loved how this park had so many fun and different spots for portraits. We were able to stroll through the park and stop for unique backdrops like stone stairs, a wooden fence, and a plank bridge. Just so much variety!

Lauren and Connor included their dog, Zeke, who was such a sweet boy and a great sport in front of the camera. Their moms were there, as well, to keep an eye on him when he wasn’t in photos. It’s always so sweet to see when the couples’ families have such a great connection too!

This session was extra special because Lauren and I went to high school together! Although we didn’t know each other well since we were in different grades, it was so cool getting their inquiry! It was so fun to have a mutual connection to reminisce on while capturing these photos!

Their love story

Lauren and Connor met in their senior year at the University of Rhode Island. Connor was a football player while Lauren volunteered with the athletic training department. They met while Connor was on the sidelines for water breaks and stretches! Now, seven years together, they are planning their destination wedding in Mexico!

Lauren loves that Connor is hardworking, goal-oriented, and responsible, but knows how to be goofy, too! Connor admires Lauren’s loyalty, honesty, and trustworthiness. And from our time together, it’s obvious they know how to have fun together! Their sweet pup (or “Zekey boy” as they call him!) is so special to them and just the most loving pup that’s always ready to smother everyone with kisses!
