Their Session: Central Park, NYC

Whewww, Stacey and Philip brought the heattt for their sunset fall Central Park engagement session! We started at the Brownstones capturing the quintessential Upper West Side vibes where these two showed off how incredible they were in front of the camera! They truly made my job so easy, and it was such a blast getting to capture their love. This location, the fall weather, and their connection combined to make the most effortless, whimsical pictures – I’m obsessed!

As the sun started to set, we ventured over to Bethesda Terrace in Central Park! An iconic spot that had so many incredible backdrops for us to choose from! We couldn’t stop all the fun, so we continued shooting into dusk, which made for the most romantic flash photos to end the night!

I was sooo glad that these two were truly up for anything from all the fun poses to running in the streets to barefoot piggyback rides at the end of the evening! This kind of love – the best friend kind of love – is my absolute favorite to capture!

Their Love Story

They met online during the pandemic, and Philip had his Instagram handle on his profile so she checked it out – she found out he was a super talented tattoo artist!

She said, “His work was amazing and he seemed to be intriguing so I sent him a DM, not thinking he would respond. The next morning I woke up to a response and my intention was to get to know him, but also schedule, a tattoo appointment with him since I was looking for an artist to work on my arm sleeve.” He just so happened to have an opening on her 27th birthday! She didn’t hesitate to go, and they had a great connection the first time they met at his shop.

Their proposal was at Del Vino Vineyards in Northport, NY! Stacey shared, “Philip knew that I’ve been wanting to check out the vineyard for quite some time. He worked with the photographer who works for the vineyard and planned the engagement. When we got there, the photographer posed as someone who was taking photos of the couples for the company’s website. She approached us and asked if we wanted to take some photos by the vines for their website. We immediately agreed (as I love taking photos lol.) The photographer took some photos and once we were done, she said she will send it to us later. She then pretended to leave and turned her back.. as soon as she turned, Philip got down on one knee and proposed as the photographer was snapping shots! It was such a beautiful moment.” SUCH an amazing way to sneakily get photos of the proposal – go, Philip!! 🙂

Phil admires Stacey’s organizational skills and loves her people skills. He said, “She’s a very comforting person and easily meshes with friends and family and can always keep the convo going.”

Stacey said, “I love and admire Phil’s ambition and drive in life. He’s always planning for the next project and doesn’t stop! He’s very supportive in everything I do and cheers me on at all times, especially when I’m overwhelmed or stressed.” Truly the perfect match!!
