Their Session: In-Home & Hotel Fiesole, PA

If you love adorable dogs, two people so in love, and gorgeous home decor, this in-home engagement session is for you! Shannon and Matt planned such a personal session that included so much of what they love – their cozy home, their rescue pup, Doc, Illenium, and getting dressed up and going out!

Not only has Shannon transformed their home into a Pinterest dream, it’s also just the coziest and most welcoming space! I loved how comfy Doc was just chilling as Shannon and Matt cuddled and laughed right by him. He was SUCH a great model and totally knew how to pose for the camera. Shannon told me they wanted this shoot at home because they’re truly such homebodies and loved the idea of documenting the first milestone in their lives – buying a house together!

After the in-home session, we headed downtown to the cutest trolley at Hotel Fiesole and the nearby nature trail! Shannon wore such an iconic tulle white dress with cute heels while Matt rocked a sleek blue suit and Phillies socks! I loved the combo of casual and classy for their session to add a ton of variety. Their looks paired perfectly with the locations! We adventured around the area and popped champagne to end off the evening!

Their Love Story

Shannon and Matt met online, but ended up having a mutual friend who happened to be very close to both of them! It was a pretty instant connection when they started talking. On their third date, Matt told Shannon so much about himself, and at that moment, she knew she was going to marry him! She said, “The way he was so open and honest about his struggles and baggage just made me instantly fall. I had never met a man before who was willing to be so vulnerable.” How sweet is that?!

When Shannon first reached out to me, Matt had proposed just two weeks prior in New Hope! Love how on top of planning they were! She told me, “For over a month, I had plans with a few of my girlfriends to go out for one of their birthdays. I spent the whole day with my friends – starting with two back-to-back workout classes at 7 am hahaha. After those classes, my friends and I went to Total Cryo where we spent the whole morning drinking mimosas, sitting in a sauna, and living the most relaxing life. Everyone, down to the owner of Cryo, knew what was happening that evening except for me! I truly have no idea how that didn’t slip. Once we were done there, we all went back to my friend’s house to get ready. Once we were ready, we were off to New Hope. My friends told me they wanted to grab pre-dinner drinks down by the water and take some cute pictures before we spent the night dancing away. As we approached the water, pretty quickly I realized Matt was there, and then *cue the waterworks.*

I completely blacked out during the proposal and had to ask him later that night what he even said. Our families walked down and we got to take some awesome pictures. Then, Matt told me we were going to go out as a family for dinner. When we got to the restaurant, another surprise – all of our close friends were there! It truly was one of the best nights of our lives and we were surrounded by so much love.” What an incredible way to celebrate their engagement!!
