Their Session: Island Beach State Park, NJ

Erica and Elie’s Island Beach State Park engagement session was SO much fun! We lucked out with blue skies when the weather was originally looking a bit gloomy, so we were all happily surprised! You never know what to expect with early fall weather and being by the shore, but they totally embraced the moody, windy vibes!

These two cuties were up for anything from rolling around in the sand to running into the ocean for the most gorgeous, playful, and romantic moments! I loved getting to capture their laughter and sweet connection, which was shining through the entire night. Plus, Delta was a STAR! She loved beach life and popped in and out of pictures when she was ready for her model moments! I love how much they adore their pup who is clearly their whole world!!

Island Beach State Park is always one of my favorite locations for beachy couples who want a bit of nature and the ocean! It’s a vast island with endless options, which is always so creatively inspiring for me! Plus, it’s typically pretty quiet in the off-season, so finding a beautiful spot without many people around isn’t too hard – such a win!

Their Love Story

Erica and Elie met as freshmen at Rutgers when they lived down the hall from each other! They’ve been together for over 5 years, and live together in NJ with their adorable pup, Delta! Elie proposed on the rooftop of the Met in the summer of 2024 and he totally surprised Erica! She said it was such a gorgeous moment with the skyline in the background!

On a typical date night, they love going to a new restaurant or staying in and cooking something new! They love being outdoors on a hike or walking around their neighborhood with Delta, and it’s a quick trip into the city to see a Broadway show or explore the museums they love! Of course, they chose the beach for their engagement session because being down the shore is one of their other favorite places to be together!
