I'm Tori, a portrait and wedding photographer based in central New Jersey. Thank you for visiting my little corner of the internet; I'm so happy you're here. Come check out the full galleries from recent weddings and portrait sessions, behind the scenes, personal posts, helpful tips and more. Please feel free to take a look, and let me know if there is anything special you'd love to see in a future post. I hope to hear from you soon!
Pause what you’re doing and click right here – this should be playing in the background while you scroll through this gorgeous Mayfair Farms wedding day! The rain did not stop Samantha and Nick from being the most joyful and excited bride and groom! I can’t speak highly enough about how little they let the weather dictate how their day was going to go – there were smiles the entire day, and no drop of rain could stop them from heading outside for portraits (obsessed with the cute umbrella shots)!! Some of my favorite special details from their day were Samantha’s dress, which was handmade by her grandmother (unbelievable!), the wooden flag that honors both Nick and his brother for dedicating their lives to protecting others (Nick is a firefighter and his brother is a policeman), the handmade paper flower made out of Harry Potter book pages that Samantha’s bridesmaid made for Sam’s bouquet, the HP cake topper, and all of the sunflowers adding a bit of sunshine to a cloudy day!
Samantha and Nick met in college when Sam was a senior and Nick was working on the security team at her school. They became better friends as she finished up her senior year. Being the sweetheart she is, Sam made Nick a thank you card for always helping her feel safe on campus! After she graduated, Nick popped into Sam’s Facebook messenger and thanked her for the sweet card. They didn’t seem to stop talking after that moment! 🙂 Their first date was at Mahlon Dickerson Reservation where they hiked together and got to know each other even better, and the rest was history – they’ve been together since!
Listen to this proposal! Sam’s said, “It was our 5th year anniversary and we had made plans to re-create our first date. We went on the same hiking trails and reminisced about the last 5 years together. They were great years. At the end of the hiking trail, on a mountain known as “Snowball” by the locals, Nick got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in the middle of the open sunny grassy meadow. I said yes!” Ahhh, so many chills – this location holds so much meaning to their story, and I’m so glad we got to shoot there for the engagement session!
Samantha and Nick, your love is full of so much happiness and joy; it seriously radiates when you two are together. It was such a pleasure getting to be a part of your story from your engagement session to your wedding day, and I am so excited to see where you two go from here! I know plenty of new adventures, hiking the world, and seeing so many beautiful new places is ahead for you two. Thank you both so much for being as kind, laidback, and fun as you are! Your day was all sorts of incredible, and I hope these images bring you right back to all the love in the room! <3 Have an amazing time at Glacier National Park in Montana, you wild ones!! Congratulations, newlyweds!! Xoxo
