Their Wedding Day: Kings Mills, Media, PA

I called it from the start – these two know how to PARTY! I could just tell from the moment we met that Sam and Zach were the life of the party and were going to be a blast on the dance floor. They certainly lived up to that expectation and then some ;)!

Samantha and Zachary had such a beautiful wedding day at Kings Mills full of so much emotion from having their new nephew who arrived just a few days before join them on their wedding day (major props to Sam’s brother and sister-in-law who managed to be in the bridal party after having a baby just a few days before!), to their personal vows that had everyone laughing and crying during the ceremony, to the wild and crazy Old Town Road intro, and heartfelt speeches from their loved ones. I couldn’t get enough of the energy in the room and all of the love that surrounded these two joyful humans. Sam and Zach have the biggest hearts and it shows in how much their people adore them.

I loved all of the special details from their day like Sam carrying her grandmother’s rosary beads that have been passed down through the generations to the blue heart sewn into her dress with their names and wedding date on it! I loved the watch Sam gifted to Zach with an engraving that says “Thank God I’m Yours.” These two have a love that is so powerful and sweet and I am so incredibly happy they found each other. Their love story is so adorable, and they both told me about it from their own perspectives!

Their Love Story:

Here’s how they met! Sam’s side: “We both were working the Extended School Year program. I was a teacher and Zach was a Teachers Assistant. I started the summer working in a different building with the high school students. Half way through the program, they needed more help down at the elementary school, so I got moved to help. I first saw him while we were in the cafe serving students breakfast. He didnt notice me until later that day =(. I immediately got nervous and asked my sister (also working the program) who he was. I was working in my own classroom for the beginning of the day and would come to his classroom the last 2 hours of the day. I don’t think we talked to each other until about 3 days later… I was too nervous to talk to him..”

Zach’s side: “Sounds about right to me! Sam said she would give hints like getting in line to get hand sanitizer or coming to sit next to me in the classroom, but I never noticed! Then I asked her to go to happy hour for about 2 weeks and she kept not giving an answer. On the last day of Summer school I asked for her phone number and boom I got it :)”

Being their outdoorsy selves, it only made sense for Zach to pop the question out on a beautiful hike!  They were doing their favorite hike right at the pinnacle, and he got down on one knee and asked Sam to marry him! Their engagement session was a perfect fall day with all of the golden goodness and open fields we could have asked for! Check out more of their cuteness here!

To Sam and Zach:

From day one you’ve seriously been SUCH a joy to get to know. I’m so thankful to call you both friends and to be the one to document these big milestones for you. Your engagement session is always a favorite of mine because of your wild hearts and huge laughs, and your wedding day is nothing short of that. Thank you for trusting me, welcoming me into your lives, and for being all around so freaking fun. I ADORE these images, especially the ones of you two breaking it DOWN (likeeee, doooown on the dance floor) at your reception. Seriously, #ohHILLyeah!!! <3 Obsessed with you two. Congratulations newlyweds!!! Love you both so much!
