Oh these two! 😍 I clicked with Jacqueline immediately when we first met for coffee and we connected over our tight-knit families and getting the perfect shade of blonde! We chatted about all things wedding, of course, but it was so nice getting to connect with her just as a friend first, and I knew her and Thomas were my kind of people! We met again with Thomas, and that totally sealed the deal. I loved hearing their story and seeing how their years of love radiated across the table from me.
When I asked these two what their favorite traits are about each other, Jacqueline said, “Thomas is the best person I know!!! He is so kind and caring. He is so determined in everything he does. After a long day of work, he always comes home happy! I admire that.” And Thomas says that “Jacqueline is selfless. She always truly wants what’s best for the people she loves. She’s beautiful inside and out.” These high school sweethearts have a love that runs deep, and it shows in everything they do with each other.
We had ourselves a day for their engagement session to say the least! We originally had their session scheduled for the evening, but rain was in the forecast, so we make the quick decision to switch to a sunrise session that morning. We met at Princeton University first and these two looked flawless at the crack of dawn (seriously, how?!) We explored the beautiful campus, popped champagne, and then headed over to Halo Pub ice cream shop downtown right when they opened (*ehem* 7 am *ehem*) and grabbed some ice cream! The guy working at the ice cream shop said it was the earliest he has ever served ice cream to anyone! That’s a win in my book! 😉
After Princeton, we headed over to Jacqueline and Thomas’ first home together to shoot around their gorgeously decorated home! It was so cozy and looked like it was straight out of a magazine! I maaay have photographed every detail I saw to keep it in mind for my home one day! I’m obsessed with seeing all of the sweet little details around my couples’ homes and how they make it their own. Jacqueline and Thomas had so many memories framed around the home, adorable signs that spoke to the sense of home and love, and the cutest rugs and coziest pillows all over! I loved this part of the sesh from coffee on the front porch (ice cream before coffee? Yep!), cuddling on the couch, airplaning in the bedroom, and slow dancing on their back porch. I’m all about it! 🙂
Thomas and Jacqueline were traveling to Italy back in July, and Thomas surprised her with a train trip to St. Moritz, Switzerland where they traveled through the Swiss Alps! He popped the big question and asked Jacqueline to spent the rest of their lives together right there surrounded by such gorgeous views! He has hired a secret photographer (smart guy)!! I love that they have those photos hanging in their bedroom so they are constantly reminded of such a special moment in their lives!
Thank you both so much for waking up SO early to get these photos and for welcoming me into your home. You two have truly wowed me with how kind your hearts are and how sweet your love is. I’m grateful to know you and be the one who gets to document all the giggles and kisses! Can’t wait for your big day next April at Hotel Du Village, it’s going to be the best day!!! Love you two so much! <3
