Gianna and Victor are two of the kindest, funniest couples I’ve met, and it was such an honor getting to celebrate this huge day for them by photographing every moment! Their day was stunning from the always-beautiful Rock Island Lake Club that they chose to the incredibly detailed reception decor and florals throughout the day!

Every time I talked with Gianna about their day, she had so many unique ideas that were executed so tastefully! I loved the boho vibes incorporated throughout their day, Gianna’s overflowing, textured bouquet, Victor’s awesome plaid, blue suit, and alllll of the amazing portrait spots at this venue! It was also such a joy getting to work with my incredibly talented friends, Sam of Makeup by Samantha Linn and Julie of Styles on Location, who slayed the hair and makeup game on all of these lovely ladies!

Gianna and Victor’s friends and family came to PARTY and they were excited from the moment these two tied the knot to get on that dance floor! You MUST check out the reception photos at the end of this blog post to see the insane 9-foot robot that made a special appearance at the reception! So many incredible moments throughout the day and it was so clear how much love these two are surrounded by! I’m so grateful to have been a part of it! 🙂

Their Love Story

These two met online on a dating website. Gianna said it was funny because she never believed in those dating sites since she never had much luck finding winners! However, when she came across Victor’s profiles, she saw that they were apparently a 100% match, so she went for it and sent him a message! They talked for a couple of months and got to know each other. He tried meeting her several times and taking her out, but she was too nervous! Finally, Victor asked her to be his Valentine, and she finally decided she would go out with him! 🙂 He picked her up at her house, which she said, for some, it might be crazy to give her actual address, but it felt like they were already dating, so she fully trusted him! They got to know each other’s families, and then he took her to the city for a comedy show and dinner! That date sparked a love story that led us to this beautiful wedding day! <3

The Proposal

Gianna says, “So Victor and I were talking about marriage for a while, we both knew we wanted it, but we were always nervous to take that big step. Victor would put the topic off for quite some time, until one day we went to a couple of jewelry stores just to look for what I would like… I had no idea the proposal would be coming sooner than later. On Christmas Eve, we went to his aunt’s house to enjoy the holiday with family, the night was going as normal as it would be until his aunt pulled me to the side asking me to go see her new bedroom, which just had gotten re-done. As she’s walking me to her room, she gets to the door and sort of pushes me in and closes the door behind me lol, I walked into candles and rose petals all over. Victor was standing there with a bouquet of roses, each rose he gave me, he told me why it is that he loves me and how much I mean to him. The last rose he took out was a silver rose, that’s when he got down on one knee, opened the rose (which was a box) and asked me to marry him. Honestly, he said so much and I wish I could remember it all but I was in lala land!”
