I have to give major props to Alyssa and Connor for being so accommodating and up for anything, because we had just about everything planned for their beautiful NYC engagement session… and then it said major rain coming our way! These two are from Connecticut, so they were making the trip to NY that weekend for Connor’s disk golf tournament. We figured we would meet in the middle for their session and explore the holiday market and some cute coffee shops and spots in the city. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t looking promising, so I recommended either a reschedule, but it would likely be a bit of a hassle to get back to NY for another weekend or to switch to an in-home session at an Airbnb!
Thankfully, they were up for the change and thought
Alyssa and Connor met on a dating app and it just so happened that Connor reached out to her at the perfect time, so they decided to go on a first date! Alyssa said their dinner went really well and they ended up moving in together after dating for a year! They had gotten engaged just a few weeks prior to Alyssa reaching out, so everything was super fresh and exciting!! She told me that they took a trip to Block Island, and she was a little suspicious but she didn’t think Connor would propose then! He had gotten her a certificate to get her nails done, took her out to a nice dinner, and he had spent 30 minutes trying on clothes and picking out the right belt! They saw some amazing lighthouses and he took her to The Springhouse, which is a Victorian hotel where he proposed! Surprise surprise, it was raining just like their engagement session, but it was an absolutely beautiful moment in their lives! Connor prepared and had a professional photographer capture their proposal for them – good thinking!! 🙂
Alyssa and Connor, you two are wonderful and so much fun to hang out with! It was such a blast getting to know you two and capture this special time in your story. I’m so thankful that you chose me to document these big life moments, and your wedding day is going to be all sorts of perfection! I am SO excited to celebrate with you two!! Love you xoxox
