Their Wedding: Running Deer Golf Club, New Jersey

Lauren and Justin’s wedding day was a long time coming, and it was freaking worth the wait! These two embraced every twist and turn the pandemic threw their way from multiple date reschedules to getting married in Florida because truly, who can wait for love?! It was so much fun getting to finally celebrate their marriage with their friends and family at Running Deer Golf Club in Pittsgrove, NJ!

I remember when Lauren first reached out, she mentioned how much she adored the ceremony location with all of the gorgeous tall trees. Let me tell you – it did not disappoint! We had a bit of a weather scare the day of where they weren’t sure if they should go with an outdoor ceremony still, but Lauren and Justin made the call to go for it! Thankfully, no rain came, and it was a gorgeous ceremony under the trees that drew them to the venue in the first place! I love that they made their day exactly what they always dreamed of!

There were so many beautiful details that made their day so special. A few that stood out were Lauren’s memorial pins honoring her mother on her bouquet, her father zipping up her wedding dress, L & J’s super sweet first look, ICE-ing all of their guests as they entered the reception, and the Spruce tree favors! Such a dream day all around, and I’m so glad I got to be there to capture it all!

Their Love Story

Justin and Lauren went to the same high school and knew of each other during school, but it wasn’t until their first year of college that they happened to run into each other at a mutual friend’s party! They started talking and instantly hit it off. After that night, they became best friends for the next 3 years. They would hang out, watch movies together, go out to eat, and do anything and everything together.

Lauren said, “I don’t think either of us realized that while we were just friends casually hanging out, we were actually falling for each other. Then on New Year’s Eve, 2014 into 2015, we went out with a group of mutual friends. I think that’s when we realized that we were meant to be together and that we had both really fallen for one another over the years. I snagged a kiss at midnight and the rest is history.”

Justin proposed to Lauren at Sólheimajökull Glacier in Iceland! He pulled her away from the rest of the group they were with, so it was just the two of them with no one there to even take a quick photo! She said, “I was so oblivious… I should have realized that something was up when Justin and I started to walk away from the group, and my brother’s friend who was traveling with us was originally walking with us, and then all of a sudden just turned around and went the opposite direction without saying a word. At the time I was just like “OK I guess he’s too cool to hang out with us.” Then I was so surprised when moments later Justin was down on one knee on top of the glacier asking me to marry him!” A perfect proposal for two adventurous souls!
