OMG!! This session is WORTH THE SCROLL! Seriously, you’re going to want to make it all the way to the bottom! Tori and Kyle’s foggy Deep Cut Gardens engagement session was everything a session should be – romantic, sweet, playful, and full of so much love. It was such a blast getting to know these two cuties even more, and to see their love in front of my camera! Also, it’s always fun getting to meet another Tori! 🙂
We were bummed at first to get a foggy day until we saw how absolutely epic it looked! Deep Cut Gardens is a stunning area to start, but with the added moodiness, there was just such a unique vibe to their photos! Then again, in Asbury Park, their picnic on the beach was just that much more romantic with the haze over the ocean.
Tori planned the cutest picnic by the water! She has such amazing taste and style, and every piece of that picnic she pulled out of her bag was better than the last! We had so much fun styling the picnic and then getting these two all loved up for photos! They even got in the water, which was the perfect way to end the session!
Kyle and Tori have known of each other for years and their paths just kept crossing! Kyle was a lifeguard at a pool club that Tori’s family belonged to growing up, so their first interactions were probably him telling her to stop running by the pool!
He ended up being Tori’s little sister’s math teacher in 8th grade and became a family friend. They were always friendly and would see each other at the gym or random spots around town. She moved into school at Montclair State and would go to Kyle for advice about sororities and getting used to college life.
After they started talking more and more, she realized she had a huge crush on him! So, at the end of her freshman year of college, she confessed her feelings and worried that she was totally ruining their friendship. Thankfully, he told her he had been feeling the same way, and they’ve been together ever since! Over 6 years together!
Tori said, “So I found out after the fact that Kyle was planning to propose on our trip to Italy (I would have been eating pasta in Rome right now, ugh!) but obviously 2020 had different plans hahaha! He is finishing up his Master’s this fall and told me he wanted to go on a few dates before classes started back up. I am working on starting my own lifestyle/cleaning hacks/organization blog, so he told me we were going to Natirar park to take photos for my blog and then going to dinner at the restaurant up the hill after. Little did I know, he had my friends and my sister help him set up a BEAUTIFUL display of flowers and pictures of us along a walking path in the park. He had a hidden photographer in place to capture it all and we both cried as I figured out what was happening. :)”
I can’t rave about you two enough!! You’ve been such a joy to work with from minute one, and I can’t wait to celebrate your love on your big day at SkyView Golf Club! Love love love you both and I’m so honored you chose me to be your photographer! Can’t wait for more celebrations to come! Congratulations, love birds!! xo
