Their Session: Skylands Manor, Ringwood, NJ

I feel so beyond grateful that Alyssa and Colin asked me to capture this exciting milestone in their lives! Their spring Skylands Manor maternity session was such a dream! We lucked out with the gorgeous blooms, a location almost entirely for ourselves, and a vibrant sunset! Every time these two are in front of my camera, they’re beaming with the biggest smiles, and this session was no different! We celebrated their wedding day last summer, which made it extra special to document this new phase of life soon after.

Skylands Manor is a perfect location for anyone who loves nature, gardens, and mansion vibes! You truly can’t go wrong no matter where you go on the property. They reminisced on the fact that they used to come to this location back in high school. I loved getting to revisit somewhere sentimental so many years later!

Their Love Story

Despite living in the same hometown, they never met growing up! Then, in 2015, they connected on social media and have been together ever since the first time they met! They met up at a sports field in their hometown around the same time that Colin’s family got a new puppy. He brought the puppy along for Alyssa to meet! Many years later, Colin knew that spot where they first met would be the perfect location to propose. He surprised her with a sweet puppy of their own named Arya, who joined us for their engagement session!

Their wedding day was full of so many emotions, tears, and laughter! They soaked in every second at the beautiful Indian Trail Club on a perfect late summer day. Their goal was to simply be present in every moment from their romantic lakeside ceremony to dancing with friends and family all night long! You can tell in every interaction that these two have so many amazing years of friendship under their belt. I know their baby is so lucky to have them as parents!
