Their Session: Cross Estate Gardens, Bernardsville, NJ

Alyssa and Colin’s summer Cross Estate Gardens engagement session was the most gorgeous way to celebrate this milestone in their lives! We frolicked through the flower gardens and grassy fields with their adorable pup Arya! With their wedding day a few months away, we chatted about the last few wedding planning details and focused on the exciting adventure that’s ahead for them!

They both noted how much they love one another’s smiles, so I’m beyond excited at how many giddy smiles and laughter we caught throughout their session! I mean, they just look at each other and start beaming, so they helped make my job very easy! 🙂

Cross Estate Gardens is one of my favorite New Jersey engagement session locations because of the variety it offers in a small amount of space! Plus, it’s free to photograph there – such a win! We had everything from romantic and lush gardens to plenty of fields for Arya to explore to the stone tower and sweeping trees that make you feel like you’ve been transported to the PNW! Alyssa and Colin came prepared with fancy and casual outfits, which allowed us to capture a ton of fun moments, especially toward the night as they were running and jumping all over the place!

Their Love Story

These two grew up in the same small town, but never knew of each other until social media brought them together in 2015! They’ve been inseparable since! They first met in person on a rec field in town when Colin’s family welcomed in a new puppy! She shared, “It was only right for Col to bring me back to that same field and propose with a puppy of our own!”

I was so excited they had Arya join us for the engagement session! She’s the light of their lives, so it was a must!

You can tell how connected these two are when they’re zoned in on one another! Alyssa loves how selfless Colin is and that he has a great heart. She said, “He will never say no to helping someone out and doesn’t complain about it.” Colin admires how driven and loving Alyssa is! He loves seeing her happy, so he constantly keeps her laughing!
