Alexandra and Kevin were such a joy to photograph! Alexandra is one of my close friend’s cousin, and I’m so thankful that she sent them my way for their maternity session! It’s so special that they chose to document this exciting time in their pregnancy – I know these photos will mean so much to their sweet little one someday! <3 We got such an incredible late summer day at Divine Park and down by the ocean in Spring Lake. I was so excited that these two were so up for anything, and they totally rocked their session! Since they already had experience from their own engagement session and wedding day, they were pros for this one!
Their Love Story
Alexandra told me, “My husband Kevin and I met at work. I had a boyfriend when we met and wouldn’t give him the time of day, but eventually, we broke up and Kevin stepped right in! We have been together 5 1/2 years now. We got married last October at the Venetian (best day ever!). Everything was so perfect and beautiful! I can’t even pick a favorite memory because the entire day was a dream come true! But if I had to pick, it would definitely be our first look and reading the vows he wrote me.”
A typical date night for these two is going out to a nice dinner and sometimes heading to the beach at night! They love just being together, it doesn’t matter where! Alexandra was so cute when she said, “Once you meet my husband you will see that he is one of a kind and he can make anything fun, no matter where we are!” It’s so true, together these two are such a blast!!
As new parents, they are looking forward to SO much. They love seeing all of their friends with kids who run up to them calling them mommy and daddy, and they can’t wait to have that for themselves – to have someone who looks at them and needs them the way a child does. She says, “I cannot wait to hear my baby call me mommy. I especially cannot wait to see what she looks like and who she takes after. I can’t even explain to you how amazing it is to feel her rolling around and kicking in my stomach. It truly is a miracle that our bodies were made to do this. We have never been more excited for anything ever (even our wedding day)! I also can’t wait to see Kevin with her. He is the kindest and most sensitive person I know, he is truly going to be the best father ever. He already is!”
