Their session: Ocean Grove, NJ

Wow wow wow, where do I start on how sweet this Ocean Grove engagement session was?! This session was super special because not only did I get to know Sylvia and Ryan, but I was also introduced to their beautiful baby boy, Theo! I just loved that they wanted to include him in the photos. They even had a little sign with his name, made by a friend, to incorporate. Such a special touch!

The sun was setting perfectly as we strolled from the dunes to the sand, to the jetty that was just STUNNING at golden hour. Their connection felt so strong, I’m honored to have captured these precious moments for them as a couple and as new parents!

Their Love Story

Sylvia and Ryan met online and shared their first date unintentionally on St. Patrick’s Day! Ryan had asked a colleague for some advice on a date spot and in a conversation mix-up, his friend showed up, as well! The three of them ended up having a great time together before Sylvia and Ryan went out on their own. Sharing a few drinks alone together, they ended up talking for hours and knew they had something special. Since then, they try to do a little bar crawl in the area yearly to honor the anniversary of that funny and memorable first date!

Sylvia says their engagement story was “perfect”. Sylvia and Ryan connected online because of their love for dogs, so it’s no surprise Ryan incorporated their dogs into the proposal. They took their two pups for a beach walk on an early Sunday morning when he popped the question! From there, Sylvia and Ryan have been planning a laidback, non-traditional wedding where they want the focus to be on an amazing party all night long!!
