We started shooting right when we got into the park; everything was perfect, from the vintage-inspired wedding gowns worn by a gorgeous model, to the perfect styling and delicate bouquet. We were so excited to see this styled shoot come together, until it came to a quick halt. Behind me, I heard subtle, muffled words through a walkie talkie. I overheard the words “photoshoot” and “bride” right before realizing that there were two security guards pulled up behind me on a golf cart. They told us we couldn’t be there taking pictures and that we needed to leave immediately. We complied, but were worried about the rest of the shoot. We had three gowns to shoot and spent so much time preparing for this day.

Luckily, Marina, the incredible dress designer, and Dionne, our amazing model, were up for walking around Brooklyn to find a new location. We stumbled on an absolutely ethereal pathway in Prospect Park that felt like a magical little world in itself. Thank goodness!! Our shoot went so flawlessly from that point on, and I think we created some pretty amazing images even though we had to quickly change plans in the beginning. I was all about the early fall leaves on the ground paired with Marina’s elegant designs. I’m so glad I was able to work with such wonderful vendors to make these gorgeous gowns come to life even more!
