Their Wedding: Winterthur Museum & Events, Winterthur, DE

Oh my goodness, this vintage-inspired Winterthur Museum wedding day was a literal dream! Every little detail had my heart exploding – these two really know how to craft a perfect wedding day! I knew Avery was all about the details, and she did not disappoint, but I was so happily surprised to see Alec showed up with so much style, too! These two high school lovers have been waiting a looong time for their perfect day, and it truly was incredible. Every little moment.

The girls brought all the energy with champagne bongs in the morning to being up for all the pictures together in the gardens and at the museum! The guys were a blast and totally rocked the groomsmen game – I mean, look at those portraits!

I loved all the sweet details like the pin on Avery’s bouquet honoring her late father to the velvet vow books that photographed so beautifully. From vintage trays to the most detail-oriented invitation suite I’ve ever seen, I was in photographer heaven! This invitation alone was such an experience to open and enjoy, which I felt was a big part of their whole day – creating an experience!

Their vendor team showed UP and crafted gorgeous floral arches and sweeping tablescapes that left us all speechless! A little rain in the forecast couldn’t stop this day from shining so bright.

I loved all the personalized touches like their first look, romantic private vows before the ceremony, and night portraits at the kissing tower. A favorite memory I have was as we were pulling away in the van to go to their night portrait location, they got a wide view of their party happening and they both were just in awe that it was all for them. They said, “that’s OUR wedding,” as it all sunk in! Their loved ones were all there to celebrate them and their love – so many chills!

Their Love Story

Alec and Avery met in high school and have pretty much been inseparable ever since! They met when she was 15 and Alec was 16. It’s so sweet that they got to grow up together over the years, and now they have two dogs – a husky & samoyed – and a home in PA!

Avery told me, “He proposed in May on our favorite holiday… Cinco de Mayo 😉 in Aruba. We had the spa to ourselves and a private balcony with plenty of champagne and little appetizers. I was shocked. LOL.”

Date nights for these cuties usually consist of either a nice dinner out or making a new dinner dish at home! Doesn’t matter where it is, these foodies are just happy to be trying new meals together!

When I asked these two what their favorite qualities about one another are, Alec said, “That she is very independent and super family-oriented. She is genuine and authentic and down to earth, and that she loves adventuring as much as me.”

Avery said, “That he lets me be my weird self (even in public) and will be silly with me anywhere and everywhere. He thinks of me before himself 🙂 And puts up with my clothes and shoe addiction.” LOVE!!! So obsessed with this adventurous and heartfelt duo!

Avery & Alec,

Thank you both for being such a chill, laid-back couple who is always down for a good time.
