Their Session: Upper East Side, NYC

London and Neil’s winter New York City maternity session perfectly encapsulate why this job is so insanely special. These two were one of my amazing 2023 wedding couples, and I was so honored and excited when they reached out about maternity pictures! It feel so full circle to see my couples go from newlyweds to new parents, and it’s such an honor to be the one to capture it all!

When I arrived at their home, the almost 100-page wedding album we meticulously designed was displayed on their coffee table. My hope is that your wedding album remains well-loved instead of hidden in a drawer or on a shelf. To see it in a place where friends and family can look through it when they visit makes my heart melt.

It was extra special to see them sitting there – reliving their wedding day – while their baby sits cozy in mama’s belly. One milestone to the next all in one moment! They could recall the exact words that were said while certain pictures were taken. It’s just wild how transporting your pictures become. Your album is literally a little time machine back to the best day.

After popping some zero proof bubbly from Noughty AF, we bounced around their neighborhood and then grabbed dinner together to catch up and yap about life. It’s not lost on me how truly special all of this is.

I’ve heard from so many expecting parents that they’re not sure if they really want to be photographed during their pregnancy, and I know it can be a hard decision. But looking back on them once your baby is here and growing so quickly, I know you’ll be so incredibly happy you documented these moments. Your little one might think it’s pretty cool someday, too.
