Their Wedding Day: Palace at Somerset, NJ

Caitlin and Kevin’s magical winter wedding day in early January was truly the best start to 2020! First off, we expected it to be absolutely freezing, so Caitlin prepped her ladies with adorable fur shawls to wear over their dresses. Guess what?! It was absolutely GORGEOUS out the entire day, so we had no worries of rain, snow, or even being a little bit chilly! I mean, Caitlin rocked a sleeveless dress in January with no problem at all! So so lucky!

I adore the details that made up their day – each thoughtful touch showed so much personality. They chose the most stunning invitations by one of my fave stationers, Charlie Whiskey Design, who just knocked this design out of the park. Caitlin wrote personalized letters with pictures from over the years that she gifted to her ladies along with the fur shawl for the cold day they were expecting! Kevin had some awesome details from his unique cologne bottle to the Maker’s Mark whiskey and cigars he gifted to his guys!

They spent the day with FUN at the forefront of their minds – they were relaxed and just taking the whole day in with so much light in their eyes! I love love love my couples for literally being the most chill and laid back people ever, it makes everything just that much more fun and stress-free! They had an intimate ceremony with beautiful Christmas lights warming up the church and then a TON of portrait time to spend with one another. It was so important for Caitlin to get bride and groom portraits outside before the sunset, so we prioritized their photos in the timeline to make that happen. I’m SO freaking glad we did, because these portraits just make my heart explode!!

They ROCKED the dance floor with some epic entrances and the biggest smiles in the world. I loved seeing these two so in their element and having a blast. I remember she told me, “I want everyone to be drinking, laughing, and having fun. I just want everything to be fun….I want everything to go smoothly and know that everyone is having a blast” back when we were first chatting about their wedding day, and I think they totally described their day perfectly all those months ago! Such a fun day celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Gleason!!

Their Love Story

Kevin hired Caitlin onto the team at the country club he was working at at the time – he was the head golf professional there! They worked together for a few years, so their relationship grew during that time together! When Kevin popped the question, he took Caitlin to one of her favorite restaurants and they had the most incredible night together! Once they got home, Caitlin saw beautiful flowers all over dining room table! There were 5 cards that said 1. Reasons 2. Why 3. I 4. Love 5. You! She opened each card and it was a photo and a sweet love note! Once she was done reading them, he got down on one knee for the most intimate and perfect proposal!

Caitlin says, “No matter what the day is like, Kevin can always make me laugh. It’s the main reason I can never stay mad at him because he makes me laugh and smile all day every day.” and Kevin says, “Caitlin is my favorite person on earth, I very rarely go through a day where I don’t wish I was with her. I appreciate all that she does for me. She makes me a better man and makes me want to be the best person I can be not only for myself but for her.” Okay, I’ll just be here crying – how perfect are they?!

You two have been a freaking party in a box since we met, and I’m grateful beyond words that we connected through another one of my amazing brides! You two are my kind of people, and I’m lucky to know you and celebrate these milestones with you! I can’t believe you’re FINALLY married!
