Their Session: Washington Crossing New Hope, PA

This gorgeous winter Washington Crossing engagement session is so unique because it’s right down the road from where Brittany and Pete live! How lucky are they that they can walk around somewhere so beautiful whenever they want?! We started with cozy Christmas-at-home photos with their furbabies before heading out to the park! New Hope in Pennsylvania is such a gem that will always have a hold on my heart. I just can’t get enough of the quaint colonial buildings and small-town charm. All that character made for a perfect backdrop for a chilly winter session!

Their Love Story

These two first met at a New Year’s Eve party at Britt’s friend’s house. While she was away at college, Pete’s family moved to her town, so he had become friends with some of her friends, but they hadn’t crossed paths yet! After finally meeting, Britt sarcastically said to Pete, “Apparently you’re my perfect guy,” because that’s what her friend had told her as she was trying to introduce them! They talked for a few minutes and he sent her a friend request on Facebook the next day but didn’t realize it was him because he had a different Facebook name at the time.

A couple of months later, she went to a St Patrick’s Day parade with the same friend who introduced them, and Pete was there, too, with a few of their other friends! Pete had a different haircut and shaved his face since they had last seen each other, so she didn’t even recognize him and forgot his name!

She reintroduced herself, and he said, “yeah…I know you…we met already!” She said, “Once I got over that embarrassing moment, we ended up talking/hanging out all day at the parade and as the night went on he started saying the cutest things to me like how much he loves my smile and that I was beautiful, and, you know, all the nice respectful things a girl actually wants to hear from a guy lol. So, I honestly thought he was just too good to be true. So, naturally, I just made fun of him all night and was like “Wow, you’re quite the sweet talker aren’t you?” I gave him my number anyway, because despite my suspicions…I really liked him and thought he was such a babe and so funny! Luckily, it turns out that he was just as sweet of a guy as he seemed, and we’ve been completely in love and inseparable ever since!!”

I just melted when I first heard their story!! She sent me photos and videos from their wedding day, and it was all sorts of perfection – just like them!
