Their Wedding: Liberty House, Jersey City, NJ

Goshhhh, what a dream day Jordan and Melissa’s spring Liberty House wedding was! If this wedding is setting the tone for 2023 weddings, it’s going to be an AMAZING year. The party started at minute one with our beautiful bride making shots for her sisters all the way to the end of the night when J & M were thrown up in chairs with a wild crowd surrounding them!

I loved the soft green tones that carried through their wedding day from invitations to bridesmaids dresses and all the greenery in their decor! Jordan and Melissa’s priority was a fun day with their fave people, but that didn’t mean they had to forget about the details! Liberty House was adorned with candles lining the tables, a greenery hedge wall photobooth, and a stunning skyline view! You couldn’t stop admiring no matter where you turned!

I love that Melissa and Jordan had a big focus on candid, real moments! They prioritized time with their family and friends throughout the day, and didn’t leave the dance floor all night long! The BEST parties are when the couple stays on the dance floor, because all their guests want to surround them with so much love and fun all night! That’s KEY for amazing dance photos, for sure!

Their Love Story

Jordan and Melissa have known each other for many years! Jordan actually trained Melissa at work on how to run a register she was 17! She had a huge crush on him for alllll that time, and she only told him once they started dating! They started as friends over 11 years ago, and it wasn’t until they started to commute to Brooklyn for work together that their connection grew!

After making their relationship official, they’ve found such a mutual love of traveling! Mainly to national parks, and alwayyys ending their trips in Vegas! These two have so many fave hobbies and interests from cooking and baking to crafting fun cocktails. They definitely show love through the food they make for one another and for loved ones!

Of course, the star of the show, Duke, can’t go unmentioned! Their sweet dog is so important to them! They got him when they were only dating for about 6 months, which, they said, “in hindsight was a little crazy but we wouldn’t change a thing. Duke is super affectionate and he loves all people and attention. If someone is having a bad day or upset about something, Duke picks up on that and will not leave the person’s side. It’s adorable. Duke also has a voracious appetite. I have never seen a dog that is so obsessed with food. I dropped a piece of kale the other day and Duke ran and grabbed it before I could pick it up. I could understand if it was a piece of steak, but kale?!?” Too funny!

Duke make a special appearance at their engagement session ANNND their wedding day, but not in the way you may think! You’ll have to scroll down to the reception pictures to spot him!
