Ashley and Eddie endured A LOT for their engagement session from the FREEZING cold weather that we were so not expecting to a super strange and unfortunate missing dog issue. These two have the kindest hearts and so much love for one another. Ashley braved the chilly weather in her stunning blue gown that complimented her gorgeous hair and makeup styled by Christina Dellanno of Perfect Bridals by Christina! Although it was cold as all heck, Eddie kept his girl warm and snuggled in close to her, which caused the cutest scrunchy nose smiles and laughs!

Pro tip to my brides: if you still need to plan your wedding makeup trial with your makeup artist, you can try to schedule it for the same day as your engagement session so you can test out the perfect look for your big day and look stunning on camera for your sesh!!

Toward the end of the session, we noticed a dog tied to the wheel of a car. We passed by a few times to check on him and realized he was super scared and timid. You couldn’t get close to him or he hid under the car. We expected an owner to come back, but after about 45 minutes of this poor pup freezing on the concrete in the parking lot, we decided we had to go let security know. Thankfully, the kind-hearted people working at the farm made sure to do all they could to save this pup from what we think was abandonment. Such a sad moment, but we know he was in good hands afterward! I’m thankful to have been with a couple who was so attentive and concerned – they weren’t leaving without making sure this dog was okay. <3

Ashley and Eddie met through an old co-worker who Eddie had grown up with. This close family friend didn’t fully set them up, because she warned Ashley that Eddie was “Mr. Bachelor” and wasn’t the girlfriend type! Ashley said it really wasn’t expected that they would’ve ever turned into what they have now! They dated for a couple months, and although Ashley didn’t expect much out of it at first, Eddie finally asked her to be his girlfriend! She was in complete shock and said ‘yes’ right away. 6 years later, and they have developed such a beautiful relationship together!

Ashley told me all about the proposal that started with a major health scare for her toward the end of 2015. Once she was released from the hospital, Eddie realized he almost lost her, so he made a promise to her that he would propose that year in 2016! Come New Years of 2016, Ashley really didn’t think he had a ring for her. She said, “I kind of had a mini temper tantrum the night before we went to a New Years party about him not proposing, but then he kind of hinted about it happening so I thought he would do it at the party. Nope. We got home around 2am and no ring on my finger.” She was a bit upset, but that night, he asked Ashley to be with him forever!! In the privacy of their own home, they were able to enjoy such a special, intimate moment together.
