Their engagement session: Red Mill Museum Village, Clinton, NJ

There is just something so romantic about fall in Sussex County! Tori and Koby’s fall Red Mill engagement session was beyond picturesque and true to them! These two truly cherish taking pictures and know the value of holding onto their memories, so they are all about capturing the real moments!

Their vision was to find somewhere a bit woodsy to incorporate their love of nature, while also having a fun downtown environment for variety. I think we nailed that with Red Mill! There are so many different nooks, nature spots, old buildings, of course, the iconic historic bridge at Red Mill! Then, we drove about 10 minutes to an incredible open field for their outfit change! I’m so so glad they got to include their sweet pup for a few photos. She wore the cutest sign announcing the engagement! We added a cherry on top of the session by sharing ice cream at JJ Scoops. Tori and Koby were too cute sharing ice cream cones on this perfect fall day!

Their love story

Tori and Koby were set up on a semi-blind date by their childhood friends. A time and location were planned but Tori got out late from her college art class. She reached out to Koby to reschedule, telling him how messy she looked from ceramics and paint, but he wasn’t bothered by that! Tori admits she was super nervous but once they were sitting down together at the restaurant, she was immediately at ease (even in paint-covered green yoga pants!) Koby suggests they just order an appetizer to start. If things were going well, they could order dinner, if not, they could go their separate ways!

20 minutes into their conversation, Koby was ready to order dinner! Needless to say, they enjoyed their night together. Tori says “On my way home I called my mom and said WOW, I think I am going to marry this man. Fast forward almost 8 years later, we are engaged, living together, have a dog, and buying a house. I am so grateful that we met that night. He still tells me how much he loved those green yoga pants.” Such a cute beginning!!!!!

A typical date night now for Tori and Koby still includes delicious food (true foodies!), a few drinks, and finding a place to go dancing! Tori loves Koby’s passion and intelligence. “He can conquer anything he puts his mind into” she describes. Koby loves her caring nature, kindness for animals, and her ability to get along with anyone! I just love their love for each other and how much it shines through in this session!
