Their Wedding: Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm

This stunning late summer Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm wedding day was such a special one! From the beginning of the day with all the gorgeous details like Alyssa’s showstopping heels to Bobby’s custom embroidered suit with his initials and date, to the very end of the night on the dance floor – this wedding day was an all around dream!

Although the weather was looking a little wild for a bit, they had the best attitudes toward any rain in the forecast! They were just ready to finally be MARRIED! We heard the rain rolling in after first look during their portraits, so we finished up and went inside! Their wedding party was the best hype crew and they were up for adventuring out with umbrellas for photos! Love when friends and family are up for anything on a wedding day! However, the rain stopped right as we got outside, and the rest of the day was a gorgeous sunny evening!

Their ceremony was beyond romantic with personal vows and their sweet pup, Nash, running down the aisle! I love the connection these two have and seeing their eyes light up and little smiles appear during each other’s vows was so special. After they were married – it was time to PARTY!

One of the most special moments was when they asked all the married couples to get up and slow dance! The anniversary dance asked the couples who were married for the least amount of time to slowly sit down (1 year, then 5 years, then 10 years, and so on). This went on until the last couple was dancing – Alyssa’s grandparents! They had the dancefloor to themselves as the DJ played their song! They broke it down for a little dance party as we all laughed and cried!

Their Love Story

Alyssa and Bobby grew up in the same town and went to the same high school. They had mutual friends at the time who they’re still friends with to this day! Alyssa and Bobby reconnected after their freshman year of college. Because of one of the mutual friends, Bobby went to Alyssa’s house one night for a get together at the start of the summer! That’s where they started talking!

Soon after, he ended up inviting her to a party he was having, which is where they really hit it off! They started texting (over flip phones!) and seeing each other more frequently over the summer of 2010. As they both went back to school, they always remained a part of each other’s lives but not always dating. Alyssa said, “I am grateful for our time together and apart during those years because it allowed us to do the growing we needed as individuals to fully come back to each other after graduation.” Years later and a few apartments later, they finally moved in together! Growing up together over the years has allowed them to experience so many ups & downs of life together and they cherish their relationship because of that. They know they are so lucky to have found their person so early on in life!

Alyssa says, “We are similar in a lot of ways but different enough that we challenge each other out of our comfort zones to become better… We love brunch & BBQs (any good reason to day-drink outside), spending time with friends & family, country music & concerts, watching Below Deck, HGTV or Food Network, traveling & exploring, and most importantly catering to each and every need of our 2-year-old dog, Nash. We just love celebrating life as best friends & making the most out of every day together.”
