Their Wedding Day: Waterloo Village

This gorgeous fall wedding day at Waterloo Village was such a special day! Briea and Brandon are so much fun and truly just love to be together. They are laidback, sweet, and know how to make each other smile instantly! Their fall day was so warm, cozy, and the perfect vibe at their venue – leaves falling off the trees as they vowed to forever with one another, I mean.. come on! Couldn’t get more perfect!

A few special details I love that they incorporated were:

Surprise gifts! Briea shocked Brandon with the motorcycle of his dreams, and to say he was stunned is an understatement! It was so fun seeing his reaction, and then later seeing him show it off to his friends and family!
Special dances! After their father-daughter dance, they called all fathers and daughters up to dance. After their mother-son dance, they called all mothers and sons up to dance! It was such a sweet way to celebrate the families in the room!
After party! It was so cool getting to stay through the after party to catch the fresh brick oven pizza and s’mores action!

There were so many fun moments throughout the day, and it was such an honor getting to capture it all!

Their Love Story

Briea and Brandon met at work, as a result of being coworkers in the same department as actuaries! Although they knew of each other for a while, their friendship didn’t start until their mutual friend Andy invited both of them on a morning breakfast trip together. Brandon had just passed an exam that same day, so you can say it was a pretty good one! 🙂

After that first hang out, morning breakfast trips were a regular occurrence along with afternoon coffee, and some Actuarial table lunch hangouts.

Their friendship grew into so much more while skiing, hiking, golfing, and completing a tough mudder together. They bonded through silly jokes and life’s ups and downs.

When the time was right, they started dating, and all of their friends said they saw it coming before they did! On Brandon’s 30th birthday, they took off of work and went for his favorite breakfast, and then to the vacant lot where they’re going to start building their home together soon. He popped the question and she of course, said yes! Briea said, “it’s just a cornfield now, but it’s going to be our whole future.” How sweet is that?!
