Holy moly, I don’t know if I have enough good words in my vocabulary to explain how wonderful Greg and Patricia are! Greg and my brother became best friends 4 years ago when they both started medical school together, so he got to know Patricia over the years, as well. So, I was beyond honored and excited when they asked me to be the one to photograph their wedding day!
Their day was beautiful and full of so much love, it was such a perfect celebration of their love story. They had a big bridal party (my brother included!) who kept the energy going every moment of the day, which was so much fun from the moment we arrived for getting ready.
I loved all of the little details throughout the day! Their cards and gifts to one another were so thoughtful – Greg bought her a locket and gave her the playing card that she gave to him years ago that he has kept in his wallet ever since, and Patricia got him a bracelet that had the coordinates of Loyola University where they first met! I loved their choreographed first dance, champagne popping during bride and groom portraits, Greg’s sister singing during the mother-son dance, and their friend singing an original song while they danced to name a few!
Greg and Patricia lived on the same floor freshman year of college at Loyola University Maryland. During their first semester, their friend groups became closer, so Greg and P found themselves hanging out more and more together. They were homework and church buddies and would spend countless hours together studying and getting to know each other better. Patricia told me she remembers falling asleep on his shoulder while watching movies with their roommates and they realized they wanted to be more than friends! They started dating second semester and haven’t looked back since. Take a look at their adorable engagement session back at Loyola University!
Their engagement session and wedding day weren’t the only milestones I’ve gotten to photograph for them! Back in February of 2018, Coby and Greg schemed up the sweetest proposal surprise for Patricia that I got to be a part of! I pretended that I had a class project where I was making a video of me interviewing different couples, and in the end, Greg popped the question! We completely surprised her and got to celebrate with photos on the beach and drinks at the bar nearby before they headed off to celebrate with family and friends!
Thank you both so much for welcoming me in and having me be a part of your love story. I am thankful my brother has you two as family for life and that it means I get to see where your story goes from here! Congratulations, Dr. and Mrs. Holland! I am so incredibly excited and happy for you two! Such a perfect wedding day with an even more perfect couple! Love you two SO much! <3
