Their Session: Cape May, New Jersey

Calling all beach lovers, this spring Cape May engagement session is for you! Full of sweet laughter, gorgeous beach views, and champagne pops, Nicole and Matt absolutely crushed their engagement photos! It’s the most special time getting to celebrate an amazing couple in love, and even more special when they’re in their fave environment. These two beach lovers adore the shore, but also loved the cute downtown vibe that Cape May has to offer! Such amazing variety for their spring sesh!

They styled their session with perfect props for the beach – a neutral Turkish throw blanket, a woven basket with a fresh bouquet of tulips, and champagne to pop! Such a fun picnic vibe for them to cozy up at sunset with!

Their Love Story

Nicole and Matt met when she was 16 and he was 17! She needed a homecoming date, and their mutual friend set them up! As they say, the rest is history – they’ve been together since that dance 10 years ago! 🙂

When I asked them about their proposal, Nicole told me the cutest story! She said, “We got engaged in Philly next to the Christmas tree in front of city hall! We went out to dinner with my cousin and his wife at Double Knot (absolutely amazing if you haven’t been, highly recommend!), and walked around the Christmas village after. My cousin said we should take a picture next to the tree, and that’s when he proposed!” A perfect holiday gift!!

They’re passionate about the beach, traveling, and food!! So many of their favorite memories are sparked around all 3! “We’re definitely foodies, so a date night will most likely involve food somehow. We love trying new restaurants, and also staying home and cooking dinner with new recipes we find! The Jersey Shore has a special place in our heart, winter or summer you’ll find us heading to the beach house for a weekend getaway! The best place we’ve traveled to is Ireland!!! we went this past April and it was amazing. we rented a car and drove all over the country.” The cute alleyway with little shops from this shoot had us all daydreaming of the quaint shops and streets in Ireland!
