Their Wedding Day: Crossed Keys Estate, Andover, NJ

What an absolute dream wedding day Liz and Kyle’s spring Crossed Keys Estate wedding was! I’ve photographed multiple weddings at this venue and it’s always so special getting to come back in different seasons. It’s the perfect location for garden, nature-lovers who want a laidback yet chic, modern wedding day! They have everything on site, which is SUCH a lovely option from getting ready through the end of the evening!

Liz and Kyle are so relaxed, fun, and kindhearted! They’re truly surrounded by so much love from all their friends and family! With a biiig, wildly fun wedding party, this crew was partying all night long!

We started the morning with gorgeous details (Liz’s rings, bouquet, and dress stole my heart!), fun pajamas and champagne photos, and the sweetest first look with Liz’s dad! Kyle hung out with his groomsmen getting ready and drinking beers!

Their romantic, garden first look was emotional as their friends overlooked from the windows above! We adventured around to capture their portraits in the gardens, and then celebrated their marriage with a Ketubah signing just before the ceremony! Their mixed-faith ceremony was so unique and special with words from loved ones and breaking the glass at the end.

Every detail was so beautiful especially with Crossed Keys’ colorful spring florals and taper candles lining the reception tables! They partied all night and ended by getting up in the chairs for a super fun Hora!

Their Love Story

Their love story, from Liz with Kyles input: “We went to Pier 13 in Hoboken on our first date after meeting on Hinge. I was a bit skeptical of online dating so I just wanted to grab a quick drink at first to scope him out. After the drink I mentioned I needed to go to the grocery store, so Kyle walked me there and to this day he will never let me live it down!

The next night, I went to a local bar to get a drink with my roommate and I saw him there on another date! I thought it was funny as we didn’t really know each other yet, but I could actually see him sweating from across the room he was so uncomfortable and upset.

After they finished their meal, he walked her home and then came back to find me to tell me how much he was interested in me. I agreed to go on a “real” date and give him another chance. He took me to me to dinner at one of his favorite spots and I remember just really connecting and getting along with him more than I had felt in a while.

A while into dating, Kyle told me that after he met me he knew he wasn’t interested in the girl he had scheduled a date with for the night after our date because he liked me, but he didn’t want to cancel on her because his grandpa had always told him the story of meeting his grandma.]

When his grandparent’s met his grandpa told his grandma he had a date with someone that weekend and couldn’t cancel even though he was only interested in his grandma because “it was rude to break a date”. The rest was history for them and same for us :)”
