THEIR ENGAGEMENT SESSION: KENNEDY DELLS PARK, NY

Absolutely over the moooooon for Shannon and Mike’s summer Kennedy Dells Park engagement session!!! It was truly was the perfect location for this sweet, adventurous couple. Beautiful backdrops, warm weather, and so much love! Surrounded by summer greenery, the park has the dreamiest path through a meadow where we kicked our session off. Joined by Finn, their Labrador Retriever, they were just the absolute cutest little family strolling around together. Shannon and Mike even had a trusted friend join us for the session to watch over Finn when he wasn’t in front of the camera. Such a great idea!!!

Deeper into Kennedy Dells Park is a hidden gem – a waterfall that feels like something out of a romantic movie! Shannon and Mike were even adventurous enough to hop stones through a small creek and share a dance next to a stunning, historic stone bridge. We then headed back to the meadow to reunite with their pup! A bottle of champagne was popped to perfectly wrap up our session! Such a fun summer evening getting to know one of my amazing 2022 wedding couples!

THEIR LOVE STORY

Shannon and Mike met in their freshman year of college in none other than the dorm rooms! Hanging out in the same circle, they became great friends. During the summers, they got closer as lifeguards together at the same camp. They both find it funny that throughout their friendship, they dated other people; it wasn’t until their senior year in college that Mike made the first move as Shannon said! They truly cherish those first few years of friendship, learning to feel comfortable together, communicate, and trust each other.

Shannon loves how supportive and thoughtful Mike is and that he’s always putting a smile on her face. Mike admires Shannon’s hard work and similarly gushes that she also always knows how to make him smile! Shannon and Mike are both physical education teachers and share a strong connection through what they do. As Shannon says, “I mean what other job do you get paid to play dodgeball and run around all day?!”
