Their Session: Lambertville, NJ

It’s always an honor when any couple asks me to photograph them, but it’s BEYOND humbling to have a close photographer friend trust you enough to take their photos! Kim photographed a wedding with me in 2019, and we realized that day that we were pretty much the same person! We had so much in common, and I’m so glad that the wedding she second shot with me sparked such a meaningful friendship for us! Kim is also an amazing wedding photographer who is kind, driven, passionate, and dedicated. I’ve loooved seeing her business grow! When she reached out to me for an anniversary session for her and her husband, Bryant, I was beyond words!! What a freaking honor.

It was so fun visiting Lambertville with them, which is such a meaningful spot to their relationship! It’s where they love to visit time and time again, and where Bryant had proposed to Kim a few years ago! It was really fun getting to hear more about their experiences in the town, and also about their new home renovations since they just bought their first house!!

Their Love Story

Kim and Bryant met when they were 13! At the time, he had long hair and Kim thought he was so cute! They became best friends quickly, and felt like brother and sister for about a year! When she finally told him she liked him, they started dating on Valentine’s Day in 2007! They were both 14 and freshmen in high school, and their love has grown with them over the years! I felt so connected to them when she told me about their love story, because it’s super similar to mine and Shawn’s! We met back when I was 14 and he was 16, so I always have a sweet spot for young love!

Bryant loves how upbeat Kim always is, and he adores her positivity! Kim loves that he seems to always do things with her in mind. She said, “He does things he doesn’t want to do that he knows I want to do, he is willing to sacrifice, or he does things specifically to give us the life I want for us. And I appreciate that.” Their dedication to making one another so happy is truly so special.

Kim’s favorite thing about being married to Bryant is that she can just be her normal weird self without fear of judgment because he’s just as weird as she is, she says! Bryant appreciates the same – he knows he can always be himself around her and she really understands him.
