Their Session: In-Home, Raritan NJ

I met Lyndsey and Len through my couple Brittany and Ryan, who got married last July! Lyndsey is Ryan’s sister so I was totally honored that she reached out and thought of me for their maternity session! I loved getting to hear all about their pregnancy journey and see their home! They had so many fun details all around the house, from the awesome nods to their love of pizza to their MANY plants! Lyndsey and I bonded over the fact that we kill EVERY plant we get, while Len’s a total master at keeping them alive! 

I really loved how these two made this session their own by recreating their favorite kind of date night; making homemade pizza! After the pizza making fun, Lyndsey and Len changed into their Rangers jerseys to show their love for their favorite hockey team! The best part though, was that they had a baby-sized jersey for their soon-to-be little one, too! 

Their Love Story

Lyndsey and Len met in high school 16 years ago! They stayed in contact with each other all throughout college, dating on and off, until finally deciding to make their relationship more serious once they were both done with school. Lyndsey says that, “I still think to myself how crazy it is to have found my soulmate and best friend for life at 15 years old. But I always joke that it only took us 15 MORE years to make it official and get married!” And now they’re having their first baby!!

Lyndsey told me all about how excited her and Len are to be parents! She is most looking forward to seeing Len become a dad! She says, “He has been the most loving, caring, generous friend, brother, son and husband, that I just can’t wait to watch him fall in love again, with our daughter. If you ask him, he’d probably say that he can’t wait to take her fishing, or skiing, or out on the lake in the boat to swim and other activities we enjoy doing with our siblings and friends. He has already asked me how early you can put kids in skis!”

I had so much fun getting to hang out with you two at your amazing home and am so touched that you asked me to capture this milestone in your lives! There were so many laughs, sweet moments, and DELISH food that made this such a perfect day! I cannot wait for you two to become parents to your little girl! Congratulations!
