Their Wedding Day: Union Trust, Philadelphia, PA

Winter couples, when your wedding day looks this gorgeous, it’s absolutely worth a little chilly weather! Alysa and Anthony planned such an incredible winter Union Trust wedding day full of intentional time with their loved ones while getting ready, a romantic first look with friends and family overlooking, and a wild dance floor with this party crew! The boho-chic details paired so beautifully with the industrial and moody vibes of Union Trust in Philadelphia!

Alysa and Anthony are the sweetest and most chill couple, and they were down for everything from quick portraits outside to ending the evening with kisses on the bar! Scroll down to see!!

The common thread I kept hearing throughout the day was just how amazing of a friend both Alysa and Anthony are. Alysa, the romantic always looking for Prince Charming over the years, impacted so many people in her life and they told the sweetest stories of growing up with her! Anthony’s friends couldn’t speak more highly of his loyalty and genuine nature! I loved getting to hear more about these two and see more of the full picture of their love story!

Their Love Story

Alysa & Anthony both graduated as HR/Labor Relations Majors. They met at their first job out of college – Alysa started only a few months before Anthony did! While working together, they were always just acquaintances all the way up until a month or so before Alysa quit!

They were invited to a holiday after-party hosted by a co-worker a few weeks after leaving their job. At this point, they were friendly as an entire group of coworkers but still, Anthony and Alysa were not super close. They would flirt a little bit on Snapchat and in person, but never thought it would bring them to their wedding day!

Something about Anthony caught her eye that night, and the same happened for him! They flirted a bit, which took everyone by surprise! They even have a group photo from that night where Alysa is kissing his cheek!

Alysa said, “That’s the best way to describe Anthony, genuine. Fast forward to the next bar and out of nowhere Anthony is having severe chest pains.. something he has never experience before. We all were nervous but he said he might just have drank something wrong, but either way it didn’t go away. This was luckily the end of the night so we all started to go home after.” Now onto Anthony’s story. Alysa continued: “That night he found out his grandmother had passed away. He was very close to her. Now the mushy/creepy/very US part… The day of her funeral he asked me on a date! He says the day already sucked so if I said no it wouldn’t matter because it was already a sad day. I, of course, did not say no and here we are! My favorite part of that story is he said to me he thinks that the pain was sympathy pains because the timing was just too spot on to when she passed and he feels like when she was leaving his life, she brought me into his life (I get chills when I say this!!!) That was the most sincere, loving thing he could have ever said to me. That is how our story began and that just set the stage for how one of a kind we feel our love is.”
