Their Wedding Day: Stonehouse at Stirling Ridge, Warren, NJ

If you’ve come for romantic holiday wedding inspiration, you’re in the right place! Amanda and Tommy’s winter Stone House at Stirling Ridge wedding was one for the books! I truly will never get over how perfect this wedding was. There were so many changes due to the pandemic, and Amanda and Tommy handled it beautifully. They rolled with the punches and still planned a day that was so true to them. These winter-lovers had pinecones in their florals, a stunning candlelit fireplace ceremony, outdoor portraits in December, and a rager on the dance floor! What more could you ask for?!

Amanda and Tommy tied the knot with a private elopement in a gorgeous Airbnb the winter before! Amanda had the flowers made into a ring holder, which was such a special way to bring their elopement day into their big wedding day! The other fun details I loved were the groomsmen in cozy sweaters, the cable knit sweater textured wedding cake with their doggies on it, Mr. and Mrs. camp-style mugs, and a dog-treat to-go biscuit bar for their guests!

Their Love Story

Tommy and Amanda met in Italian class in 10th grade! He knew Amanda’s cousin, Megan, first and Amanda knew him as Megan’s friend! They reconnected while they were apart in college. They started as friends, then eventually started dating while long-distance and have been together ever since!!

Their proposal story was sooo sweet! Tommy had torn his Achilles at a soccer game on a Sunday night, leaving them in the ER until 2 am. Amanda had to go to work the next day because the other nurse was out, so she stayed with him the whole time and then went to work. On her way home, Tommy kept calling me asking where she was. She was picking up Wawa on the way home, because she knew that would make him happy after everything happened. She got home and didn’t see Tommy anywhere!

She said, “In the back, the dogs were outside with the door propped open, but still no Tommy. When I shouted, I heard his reply from the basement, so I ran down thinking he fell down the staircase letting them out!! I ran down the steps and frantically asked if he was okay. He was on the ground crying and I immediately panicked and started crying, trying to reassure him he’s okay.

He started saying that he was so sorry, and I genuinely thought he hurt himself even worse. Then he went on to say just in the last 24 hours he saw how much I truly care about him, and that he’s sorry this isn’t how he wanted to do this, and then he whipped out the ring box and opened it! I was like WAIT WHAT! I thought they were sad tears, but they were happy ones. I thought he was on the ground cause he fell, but it’s because he was (trying to) kneel. The ring was in the basement, and yes, he couldn’t actually get back up after that, so he kept calling because he was literally waiting on the floor for me!!! I still really can’t believe it went down like that. It’s so memorable that’s for sure!”
