Their Wedding Day: Private Residence, Northern NJ

When I first walked into this backyard wedding, before it was even fully set up, I was seriously speechless. There were just so many gorgeous and fun details to soak in from the cascading warm-toned florals free standing by the pool to the boho-chic tent for guests to sit to the self-serve beer tap wall and more! What the incredible Copper & Chloe team pulled off for this backyard wedding with help from Magnolia Events and Twisted Willow Flowers is beyond words. Lorena and Brian’s vision for this backyard boho dreamy micro-wedding came to life so beautifully, and I was so honored to be a part of it! It was also such a joy getting to work alongside my favorite videographer duo Tone Media!! Always so fun when we get to work together!

What I adore most about this day was how relaxed and present Lorena and Brian could be. Although a smaller backyard wedding wasn’t their original plan, and they’ll still be celebrating at Bonnett Island next year with all of their friends and family, the intimacy was something to be embraced, for sure! Their closest family, through tears and laughter, cheered and celebrated for these two as they tied the knot overlooking this gorgeous petal-filled pool! Every moment was so special, but one moment that stuck out to me was the silence over everyone soaking in Lorena’s father’s toast and words (in his amazingly colorful suit!) and then cheering wildly when he reminded us all that ‘love is not canceled!’ So many chills in that moment!

Their Love Story

These two met at a house party where one of their mutual friends introduced them, knowing they would hit it off! Lorena says, “Brian took 3 days to text me! I was so anxious but our friends told me he was trying to “play it cool” so that made it easier to wait! The next week we were on a date in NYC at Casa Mona and comedy show. We were inseparable ever since, and we love a good comedy show to remember our first date.”

Date nights for Lorena and Brian consist of anything that can include their furbaby, Bila! Lorena said, “a lot of what we enjoy doing is centered around activities that she can be involved in. We love taking her for walks, going to the beach, going on road trips to different parts of the country, etc. We love trying new activities! That being said, we are an active couple but also LOVE our downtime at home. We love watching movies, spending time with our families, cooking at home.” They love just living life together and having fun no matter what! That totally showed as they broke it down on the dance floor at their wedding!

It’s been such a pleasure hanging out with you two at your engagement session and now celebrating this exciting part of your love story! I’m so excited to know we get to do it again next year and REALLY see you two break it down on the dance floor. I can’t wait to see how your love grows from here!
